When I was in junior high in the mid-90's, I used to put my VCR on MTV and recorded 6 hours into the night at bedtime, and I still have some of those tapes.

The only wrestling that I had on VHS as a kid was on a tape, which I still have, that my brother recorded random things from 1986/7.
-The entire NBC Thursday night lineup: Cosby Show, Family Ties, Cheers, Night Court, and LA Law. -Half of LA Law was taped over with The A-Team. -Half of A-Team was taped over with Prime Time Wrestling from right before The First Survivor Series. It has one complete match between Dibiase vs JYD, a promo by Savage's team, and about 5 minutes of Monsoon and Brain discussing the rules of Survivor Series. -The rest of the tape is a really snowy recording of some movie starring Andy Griffith where he plays a preacher.
-Then I accidentally taped over the last 45 minutes of that movie in 1995 with an episode of WWF Challenge. That episode had Double J's "With My Baby Tonight" music video on it, and was broadcast the night before the In Your House where Shawn beat Double J for the IC title. It was from the week after Barry Horowitz beat Skip the first time, that week Barry was taking on the brand new, Hunter Hearst Helmsley, but the tape ran out just as HHH's music started. I didn't have cable then and so I didn't even know what Helmsley looked like until months later.

Parker Lewis Can't Lose and The Outsiders (tv series)....had a few episodes of each a few years ago. But I can't find the tape nor do I own a VHS player anymore.
Also, this is from ten or so years ago, but one of my friends uncovered some recordings of Pro Wrestling This Week with Gordon Solie and Joe Pedecino.

At one point I attempted to record each main event from Raw, Impact and Smackdown and I think I ended up taping Chris Candido's last appearance in TNA. I also used to tape footage of myself playing video games for my friend and he would then do the same for me. I have no idea if those are still out there but they would be cool to find now.

Various WWF/E ppvs with raws and sd's (well after 99) afterwards from 97 up to wm24 i believe. I will never get rid of them.
Best is not only the content but the commercials on the raws and sd.

I went to watch a couple of old PPVs from 1997 the other day. Tape was labeled: SummerSlam 1997, Survivor Series 1997. I popped it in and someone had taped Spice World on it... TWICE! On the same f***ing tape!!

I enjoy watching old tapes just for the recordings of commercials. That's my favorite. I rememeber back in the day popping in an old tape of WCW Saturday night and seeing a comercial for McDonalds or burger King one with Jason Biggs in it... this was right around the time American Pie2 was out.

Mostly old horror movies. I found a tape with the slasher movie called Party Line on it a while back. It was taped as a part of USA's Up all Night with Gilbert Gotfried or whatever his name as the host... I mark for this.

I have over 1,000 vhs tapes with wrestling on them, every raw, smackdown, PPV, you name it from the mid/late 90's to about 2006.. I want to convert them to DVD but I just don't have the time..
On those tapes I'm sure I have some random game shows (especially price is right) taped.
Oh, and I also have a lot of 9/11 as it was happening videos, I just kept recording and when a tape was done, switched it to the next tape.. I think I have 13 tapes or so of it. Depressing, yes, history..also yes.

I remember one was a home movie and out of no where it cuts into the middle of Ghostbusters, that was apparently airing on TV

I've got a VHS where my aunt recorded cartoons for me when I was very young. I watched it for the first time in decades not long ago. The tape was from 1989 and featured episodes of TMNT, Chip N Dale Rescue Rangers, some weird Double Dare-esque gameshow, a ton of old commercials and some nature show. If it's from 1989, then that game show of yours is Fun House. I'm willing to make a deal on some of those game shows. If you find more please let me know. I'll look for the tape and make a copy. I don't have any other tapes like that though but my aunt may still have some. Sadly, she lives pretty far away and I don't get to see her very often. I also have a ton of random wrestling on VHS. Lots of early to mid 2000's WWE. I probably have some late 90's wrestling too. I DID have a LOT of PPV's from 1998-2000 but mytape collection randomly disappeared a long time ago.

I used to do that too, i found there were vids that only aired at night but never on regular mtv (the only notable one i remember was poe's "angry johnny").

I lost all of my VHS through accidental disposal.
However, I recall having many many mornings worth of saturday cartoons (early-to-mid-90s stuff) and more importantly, the delicious commercials.
The commercials you can actually find on youtube, I looked up Fox 5 New York commercials and a ton of them came up.

And that doesn't apply to you, it applies to everyone here who wants to have wrestling and other tapes converted to DVD as well.
