www.wwe.com/classics/ecw/forgotten-starsThat was WWE's list of forgotten stars, but other than 2-3 of them I'd say most fans who are familiar with ECW know of those guys. And hell, Chilly Willy is practically The Rock compared to the guys I want to talk. Guys that competed regularly for a while in ECW that nobody talks about, ever. Here's my quick list: Rod Price Ulf Hermann Mike Lozansky 'The Prodigy' Tom Marquez Bilvis Wesley The Dupps Chris Hamrick El Mosco HC Loc (of early ROH fame) Redd Dogg (Rodney Mack) Uganda (Kamala's non-union equivalent) Some of them had gimmicks, others didn't. They were mostly used just to fill up space. I kinda like what I've seen from Rod Price, he seemed like a naturally old school type plunked down into 1999 ECW. Additionally, does anybody know why Daniels only worked a few ECW shows and then wasn't used again? I think I heard at one point that he rubbed some people in the locker room the wrong way but that could just be speculation.

If I remember right about Daniels, I think he had a match with Nova that somehow didn't go over well and ECW decided not to use him again.

Outside of Tommy Cairo, Hack Meyers, and Chilly Willy I think those guys are fairly known as part of ECW.
I mean, if they wanted guys who were treated as fairly big deals in ECW at the time but aren't really remembered go with all of Da Baldies minus Vic Grimes (only because of New Jack almost killing him), Damien Caine, The Dudley family minus Spike, Big Dig, Bubba, Devon, or Sign Guy, and Johnny Smith.

The Dupps showed up on a few Dark Matches for WWF at one time.

The ones who did get TV time were jobbers (Bilvis, Hamrick). I had to look up El Mosco his outfit was very similar to Amazing Red's Sagriento's outfit in TNA from last year. A name you should add to the list is Bobby Duncum who had a brief cup of coffee in ECW as well

He has the looks of Andre the Giant, and the strength of Barry Windham. Not to mention he's a hero to a few armadillos, a kangaroo and a small herd of bison.

I know of Hamrick, but only because he wrestles in my area now and then.

If I remember right about Daniels, I think he had a match with Nova that somehow didn't go over well and ECW decided not to use him again. If I remember right, he was set to come in but WCW scooped him up with a promise of a push with Vampiro, Muta and ICP. He also had a match with Rhino that is out there on YouTube or was at one time.

I mean, if they wanted guys who were treated as fairly big deals in ECW at the time but aren't really remembered go with all of Da Baldies minus Vic Grimes (only because of New Jack almost killing him), Yeah I thought about including Da Baldies on the basis that nobody knows who the hell they were comprised of, but still I figured most have at least heard of the stable. DeVito and Angel in particular are probably forgotten seeing as people at least know Vito from WCW/WWE and PN News from his infamous WCW run. The Dupps showed up on a few Dark Matches for WWF at one time. Yeah, they left ECW in early 2000 when they had a chance to become regulars to jump to the WWF, and then never got called up (not counting Trevor Murdoch who became a Dupp in OVW). A name you should add to the list is Bobby Duncum who had a brief cup of coffee in ECW as well Yeah Duncum is interesting, he was in both ECW and WCW in 9198. Droz wrestled several times in ECW that year as well when he was under WWF contract and they didn't yet have an official development site. What about Joey Mercury or Christian York. I totally forgot they were even there until it was brought up They tend to be forgotten, but they did make it to PPV and I think are more remembered than most guys I listed. Still, they are interesting. Michael Shane (Matt Bentley) is another guy who became an ECW regular at the end who went on to some notoriety.

One of the biggest problems I have with WWE's list is the second one mentioned Joel Gertner that man is far from a forgotten ECW competitor. Along with Kronus and the Sinister Minister. Who made this list anyway because these guys are for the most part bigger names of ECW

Didnt Brakus work some ECW shows? Also, you cant forget Ray Odyssey (i remember that guy from IWCCW, but he also had a brief run in ECW, im still shocked he never made it to WWF or WCW though).

That article was worth it for the "Ironman" Tommy Cairo reference. That guy really has been forgotten.

Hamrick is pretty regular on the indy scene I think and makes money doing the whole "Former ECW Star" thing.
The rest are pretty forgotten from the OP's list, Most of the guys on WWE's list are still working indies and have worked all the reunion shows.

IIRC, Rodney Mack made his WWE debut as Redd Dogg, joining up with Cena and doing away with his predecessor Buchanan (B-Squared).
Then as quick as a hiccup he moved to Raw to replace D'Lo as Teddy Long's prime guy and was renamed Rodney Mack.
I don't think I *ever* saw him compete or appear as Redd Dogg.
