Please try to limit the joke posts, but if you really wanted to maximize the potential of the Colons then how would you book them? It seems like they've had some good matches lately. Carlito leaving really worked out best for everyone.

Someone said on the other Colon-related thread to do a pervy tag team of Primo and Curtis. I'd love that. But really, I disagree. I wouldn't book PrimEpico. They've peaked as a team and Primo is probably better off as a solo guy, even if he still jobs. Realistically, I'd have him as a face jobbing to Cesaro and other heels of the moment. Ideally, he'd get a mini-push simply because he's never really had that. Sorry, I know that's not what you asked but I struggle to care about Epico. I also really disagree that Carlito leaving worked out for his family. The only time they cared about Primo was when his brother was around...

Best booked? Bring back Carlito, have the three of them fight up the tag ranks, win the belts, and defend them under Freebird rules.
Problem is, I don't see the fans giving a shit about them at this point...

Make them risk takers. They're both talented high-flyers, yet for reason wrestled a toned down style.
Just have them high-fly more than they do, make them wrestle at a much faster pace and take more risks etc, kinda like a Londrick style high-flying tag team.

Carlito was dragging Primo down if anything at the end there and I believe Carlito has even said that he later apologized to Primo for this.

Take Rosa Mendes away from them. That way the commentary might put them over, rather than her. Other than that, don't restrict their high flying because they're heels (although there's a shortage of heel teams for now). Give them feuds against Kidd/Gabriel and the Usos (even bring in Carlito & Rikishi for a one-off six man tag).
Ideally they'd be faces, but their gimmick is too similar to the Usos.

I don't think they're currently being booked all that badly. It's not like their the best team in the division right now, so I don't they need to be booked any stronger. Maybe just quicken up the pace of their matches. Even if fans don't particularly like the superstars in the ring, they can usually still get into a fast-paced high flying match.

Hmmm... what to do with the Colon cousins? True fighting tag team champions, of course. Build them up as really special, as in "we are lucky to have them here in WWE". For example, Ricardo Rodriguez or a returning Alejandro Estrada announcing their entrance, with an entourage of hot young scantily clad Latinas who parade around ringside holding their belts, waving the Puerto Rico flag and going into the audience to interact with the fans. Give them a really catchy salsa music entrance theme, starting with a sultry female voice saying "Ay, Que Rico Papi!"
The Spanish announcers team should appear with them, and they should depart after the Colons' match is done. We do not know whether the table may or may not get destroyed tonight, that's part of its allure. (Save that for PPV moments?)
Perhaps we could be treated to a glimpse of their history in P.R's World Wrestling Council and short interview clips of the boys receiving tutelage and inspiration from Puerto Rican wrestling legends. ...or the WWE could bring in Brett Hart to manage and tutor them, with the Hitman molding them as rulebreakers in the original Hart Foundation style.
The Colons could drape the P.R. flag over their defeated opponents upon their victory, like the Russians used to do in the NWA and UWF.
I could go on and on about how to properly book this team.

Problem is, I don't see Carlito giving a s*** Fixed for correctness Unfortunately. I would love to see them in a Trios team, both defending the title under Freebird rules and helping each other get single's victories. The X-factor, unfortunately, is Carlito. I know he left because they wouldn't let him be a heel (which given the team is currently heel, wouldn't serve a problem at all), but to leave over something that petty is very hard to start with. With most promoters, I'm pretty sure it'd be a non-starter. Alternatively though, I'd love a Pervy Primo/Dirty Curty tag team. That isn't even a joke; Curtis was actually entertaining with that character - matter of fact, he was one of the highlights of NXT to me. Primo as-is doesn't really stand out; an actual "Pervy Primo" character, I believe, could get him over fairly quickly and the team of him and Curtis could be a pretty big attraction in the tag division.

Am I the only one who read, "How Could the Colons Best Be Cooked?"
Anyway, I like the risk taking idea. I find it unfortunate that Primo's spent four years in the WWE and has never been given a sufficient opportunity to get over.

Stop using them as the resident tag team jobbers, for one. The Usos used to have that spot, and now PrimEpico do- and honestly, I hate it. I don't want to see them wrestling the 'formidable team' of the Great Khali and Hornswoggle, I don't want to see them in the ring and think 'oh, look, here they are to lose again'. There's no NEED for there to be any tag team jobbers, in my opinion. I, personally, really dislike it when people are just brought out to lose all the time- it's not fun at all (and especially not so when you're a big fan of said people, haha).
I love them to bits, but I can acknowledge that the audience couldn't care less about them. They haven't been given any reason to, and neither Primo or Epico have really been given time to develop or display much character (although recently they've been adding bits and pieces; I love when Primo goes into show off mode a bit)- it's basically "hey, we're Puerto Rican" and then sometimes they get angry. I'd let them utilize more high-flying moves, as well- both of them are quite talented!
I think it could be a lot of fun to have a tag team feud that's not about going after a title, perhaps have them feud with the Usos. That could give both teams a chance to develop clear-cut characters besides 'this is our nationality/heritage' and such, and could get the audience to care more about them. I wouldn't break them apart as a tag team- they work too well together, and I doubt WWE would ever use either of them consistently or well as singles competitors (I feel like Epico, especially, would not benefit from that happening at all).
I know this is a shiny-happy hope/wish, and it's not going to happen, but I absolutely adore PrimEpico, and I hate to see them being used the way they currently are. (And for anyone wondering if there are any Epico fans in existence- hey-o, right here. Next to Hunico, Epico's currently my favourite wrestler in the WWE- don't get me wrong, I like Primo, as well, but for some reason I just like Epico more! So there you go; there's at least one big fan of his, haha!)

They need something more over the top gimmick-wise. I almost feel bad for not caring about either of them, as they're both good in the ring. It's similar to how I feel about Chavo Guerrero, and I'm not sure if it's just jobbing or them lacking anything to latch onto. I guess it's a combination of both. If they were booked credibly I wouldn't have a problem with it, but I'm not on the "they're missing the boat on the Colons, dammit!" train either.

How about pushing them as actual faces and giving them some actual rivalries? PTP and ReyCara had a rivalry going, and it had nothing to do with the tag belts. They could easily do it with them and The Usos or something. They don't have to be heel anymore.
