2010: Kane 2011: Mark Henry 2012: Big Show
All 3 guys were seemingly done with their big match days at one point, and yet, they all won the WHC mid-late in the year and didn't do bad with it, as all sorta rejuvenated themselves with their runs.
Any candidates for that in 2013? Can't think of one off the top of my head.

Rey Mysterio, despite he'll be wrestling with duct taped knees.

In all seriousness, it's really a shame they killed "Heel R-Truth" before he could get a World Heavyweight title run. Crazy, conspiracy theorist Truth holding the world title and having a JBL-esque reign (where he gets lucky and/or cheats to win his big title defenses) while constantly claiming that management is trying to screw him out of the belt could have been money.

Hopefully Dolph Ziggler, though I guess he's getting rejuvenated a bit.

I'm think Orton. See a double turn with him and Dolph carrying us into Mania 30.

Don't forget the Undertaker in 2009 as well.
As for 2013, it'd be pretty cool if Christian got a final world title run. Either him or Rey Mysterio, since he's never had a well-booked title reign.

Something to think about.
All 3 guys were big men that drifted Heel/Face and oftentimes found themselves in silly angles. All 3 then "Serious'd" up, started kicking ass as heels and felt unstoppable.

Christian would be my choice, as I'm a big fan and feel that his last run as champion didn't do him justice.
But going by the trend of the WWE using monster heels for this run, Tensai might be a likely choice for them to go with.

That is an awesome choice. I don't think it will happen, but it's what I would want.
