1.) Make his character a monster heel 2.) Crowd get's bored 3.) Respond by losing interest with him 4.) More free reign, Big Show is his goofy self, very entertaining 5.) Wow the crowd loves him, turn him face stat 6.) Crowd loses interest because WWE turn goofy into corny 7.) Make his character a monster heel
They have been in this same pattern since the man debuted in WWE and for the life of them they can't seem to work out that number 4 is the sweet spot.

That's pretty much how most monster heels are booked. Pretty much every prominent big man of the modern era except maybe Undertaker has ended up being booked this way

Remember when Cena and Show laughed their asses off in the ring when King Booker said Ready To Rumble was the greatest movie of all time?

The OP is saying he's currently in the good spot. He's doing fine now, but then they'll realize he's entertaining, turn him face, and start the whole thing over.

I'm tired of goofy face Big Show.

My problem with face Show is he just buries and kills the momentum of the heels he gets booked against
Cody feud and him making the SES look like chumps

Creative just doesn't know how to follow up on anyone after a feud with Show. Show didn't make Cody nearly irrelevant. Creative did. The SES thing couldn't really be helped as Punk was immediately drafted to RAW, and then suffered an injury.

I can't think of a face Big Show feud that worked out well for anybody. Maybe the Spirit Squad, but it was a five to one advantage.

Probably the worst part of this vicious cycle is what happened to Jack Swagger when he first won the WHC. Swagger's never recovered from the burial from lame face Show, and we'll probably never see Mr. Swagger (Jack's 'daddy') in the WWE ever again.
Damn you Face Big Show!! I hope your character dies in Burn Notice!!

I think the WWE instinctively does not believe comedy wrestlers can draw or will last long like that if they're higher on the card. So they either bury them in the midcard while still utilizing what popularity they have (Santino, for example) or they turn them heel if it's someone they believe is a strong top-tier guy (Big Show).

They switch around personas back and forth. It makes it really hard for to accept the persona of a certain guy. Kane is probably the worst example of them all.

I don't know if it was necessarily creative that was to blame for it, but keep in mind that they had Kevin Nash, a guy who's entire character for the last 15 years has been being a funny, sleazy wisecracking douchebag insider who also happens to be 7 feet tall and a beast in the ring, be a SCREAMING ANGRY BIG GUY WHO'S MAD AT THE FANS AND IS GONNA BEAT YOU UP, despite the fact that that's literally NEVER been his character. They just booked him like the typical WWE big man - his scripts and Big Show's "IRON CLAD CONTRACT" era stuff was basically the same, and The Big Show and Kevin Nash are WILDLY different characters. But it's the same way every face has to be a superman cookie-cutter mold once they hit the main event; WWE loves their archetypes, and sticks to them faithfully.

My issue right now with Big Show is that there is now a very short list of credible opponents capable of beating him for the title. Ziggler will almost certainly cash in, not on Show but on whoever should beat Show. Unless Ziggler goes down like Cena and loses after cashing in, I fail to see how the WHC scene resolves itself to anyone's satisfaction. Big Show can use another chaser for his title, perhaps Ryback - someone to act as an instrument of Vickie's revenge, by going after the briefcase.

I want to see Big Show break out a new Giant Chair. That should seriously be his gimmick from now on. It'd be like "Raven's Rules", where he got to drop toehold someone into a chair every match, Big Show would sit the guy down on the Giant Chair, and then WMD-Punch them.

I think you're way off. Monster heel Big Show is the best. Decimating the entire Smackdown roster, chokeslamming Cena through the spotlight, his WCW run...

These past few weeks, I've found "Racist Big Show" kind of hilarious.
