Updating a previous item, USC junior WR Robert Woods received a second-round grade from the NFL Draft Advisory Board prior to declaring for April's Draft.
He also defended his comments after the game and said they were taken out of tone.

For as much as I bitched at the end of the game, I can see the signs of improvement. Of the 5 losses 3 were to the best teams in the country (Ala, ND and Ohio), only 2 were blow outs (Ala and Neb) and in one of them Denard was knocked out early and we were stuck with people who had never taken a snap at QB (Neb). Yeah there was bad play in a lot of it but the root problem will graduate.
Most came down to the end and with improvement on offense we should compete for the B1G title next year. I think the defense will hold us back but good things are ahead.

Osborne and Pelini should have STFU after the Wiscy debacle and just let us fall into the Gator where we belong. We'd have beaten MSU today and the program really needed a win more than it needed to be in the bigger bowl.
As usual turnovers killed Neb. Ameer is too fumble-prone, we were going toe-to-toe with UGA til that turned the game. Martinez is an absolute joke trying to throw on the run, his mechanics fall apart and it's a crapshoot where the ball goes. All three picks and missing wide-open Turner in the endzone came because he couldn't throw on the move. UGA really took it to our normally good passing-defense, of course it didn't help that the refs ignored picks on two big plays, but we got gouged pretty good.
I'm so sick of going into the offseason depressed. Sick of looking forward to husker season all year to end-up with a just-ate-a-****-sandwich taste in my mouth. The program has zero momentum. If I'm our new AD I tell BO that I'll get out the checkbook for a bigtime hire but you need to swallow your pride and hand the reins on defense to a top-shelf DC. I also have Martinez working day and night on carrying the ball securely and throwing on the move.

Does it feel like FSU has nothing to gain and everthing to lose against NIU?
Nobody expects NIU to win, they're happy to be here. FSU had national title expectations.

That's one of the reasons why I think it'll be close. I don't think the Florida State players will be as motivated as they could be, especially against a team from the MAC. Granted, Northern Illinois is a good team, but still.
And Stanford will win the Rose Bowl, sending Wisconsin to an 8-6 record.

All that Pac 12 firepower this year, and yet boring, plodding, slow Stanford takes everything.
HURRAY FOR BORING, SLOW FOOTBALL!

I think the defense will hold us back but good things are ahead. this year was a transition year for Michigan mainly because of the shallowness of past recruiting classes under Rich Rod. Last year we were lucky to have great leaders in RVB, Martin, Koger, Molk, and Hemmingway to hold things together and had pretty much all our tough games at home. This year we had to rely on a lot of guys who probably should have redshirted but we just didn't have the numbers. That goes mostly on defense. Yeah there were step backs, but this wasn't that experienced of a team. But going into next year, we know we've got two good (although short) WRs in Gallon and Dileo, a good young TE in Funchess, some good talent on defense led by Bolden and Ross, and Gardner at QB Last year spoiled us

On the Pennsylvania vs the NCAA lawsuit, umm how heartless. Madame Governor or whatever, the university agreed because they were found culpable. End of story. I will never spend a penny in your state unless I am stranded. Go to hell.

They showed a list of all the coaches leaving Wiscy, almost everyone has a new job. I respect Alvarez but if the guy wants to stay on top he needs to start shmoozing boosters for staff and facilities money. You have won the BIG the last three seasons and you get your staff totally raided? Biliema left you for a program that is no better but will throw around money, he is now filling-up on proven coaches from Wiscy and other BCS program, not having to raid the MAC. Wiscy won't stay a major program unless they act like one and quit being a stepping-stone job.

Who the f*** taught this team how to secure the ball? Whoever it was needs to be shot because they absolutely suck at it.

Not to mention Northern Illinois has beaten BCS conference teams already and they have an extremely explosive offense who can score. The only reason they're being counted out so quickly is because they're not in a BCS conference. A win by Northern Illinois isn't some giant shock. It's not like it would be Appalachian State and Michigan all over again. Stick to wrestling and Oklahoma football JR. It's obvious you don't know anything about football in general with comments like that.

As a Badger fan... this sucks. Your D adjusted very well after the rough start, six for the rest of the game was dang impressive. Think your O got too conservative in the second half. Was really hoping you'd pull it out, having your sole turnover of the day at the end where you can't overcome it really sucks.

Florida State better put Northern Illinois away in the first half, because if that fake punt told us anything, it's that NIU is leaving it all on the field and pulling every trick out of the bag tonight.

It's mostly some in our state government trying to save face but it's gonna blow up and cost them instead.
