Would this be a good match to book on WM29, hypothetically? There has been a number of threads this past year discussing who has enough star power and is an opponent big/strong/experienced enough to face him. Rock vs Undertaker has never been done before at Mania, it has a major name against Taker, it could be easy to put over the streak being in jepordy considering Rock is 2 for 2 since coming back in matches, and finally it frees up Cena/Punk/Lesnar/HHH/Sheamus/Orton(/Ziggler/Bryan) for the other matches on the card.
So would this be a good idea?

Yes simply because it's never happened at Wrestlemania.

Well, if they don't feel comfortable with giving a current roster member a chance (that includes the idea of Taker/Cena), I could see Rock/Taker working.
This is all dependant on what happens at the Royal Rumble though.

I wouldn't mind...but Rock's probably heading into Mania as the champ. There's no way they're giving Taker the belt and could you see Rock being the one to end the streak?

These are my two favorite wrestlers of all time, but I'm not in the least bit interested in seeing this. Previous Rock-'Taker matches haven't been that good (but in all fairness, it was '99 unmotivated Undertaker, so...), and I honestly don't know how they'd keep up an interesting program for over a month.
Some guys just aren't meant to feud together, and there are a long list of guys I'd prefer to see these two with than each other.

It's not a BAD match. Better to have them in two different matches though.

Then that weird briefcase that was pulled up from Austin at the end? Haha, my very first PPV I ordered as a kid. Goood times. But anyway, I couldn't see it, not now at least. Rock's promo style and Taker's really wouldn't mesh that well.

As legendary as The Rock is, no way can I see him ending the streak.

I kind of like this idea, because it means that the past attitude stars will only eat up one segment per show instead of two.
If they aren't going to be used to put over current talent, then their presence should be condensed.

It wouldn't be bad but I'd rather see Taker/Cena + Rock/Brock then Rock vs Taker.

To me it'd be a pretty cool match, but everyone pretty much knows undertaker will never lose the streak. doesn't mean it isnt somewhat nailbiting every year though.

I'd rather Taker face Punk or Sheamus.

It would fit in with last years theme of "end of an era ", as both were major players during the attitude era. It would just be interesting to see who the crowd would side with.

What about last year's "end of an era" match? Why would they just revert back to a match featuring two guys years removed from their prime?

If they did another "end of an era" match, wouldn't that make HHH a liar?
