Since the 2010 edition I personally have felt a little let down with the match itself. Mainly due the the ring not filling up like it used to and too many quick eliminations. 2010 had a alot of guys treated like jobbers and then 2012 was just a jobberfest. Where is Pat Patterson when you actually need him!?

The ring filling up was pretty much always the most boring part of any Rumble, I'm glad they have come to realize that.

It wouldn't be a rumble otherwise....just a spot and comedy fest.

The 2012 Rumble had way too many spots taken up by announcers/legends/joke entrants. It just didn't feel like a serious match, although I did like the Jericho/Sheamus sequence to end it.

The only good thing about the ring filling up is the visual of the ring filling up. Otherwise, like the other poster said, it's the most boring part because there's no room to do anything great.

Am I the only one who doesn't seem to like when there's only 4 or 5 guys most of the Rumble match? Sure, having 15 people in the same time limits your spot but to me, the whole essence of the Rumble is to have that kind of chaos in the ring.
Although I'll agree that having Michael Cole as en entrant last year was so unnecessary. Hope it won't happen again this year.

I think it was pretty much killed when the two stand-outs of the Rumble (Miz, Cody) were eliminated at the same time by Big Show without even trying.

When Big Show was the last entrant you could feel the crowd's disappointment through the television screen.

I personally loved the 2012 Rumble. The fact that there was NO remote indicator or idea of who was going to win the match made it that much more exciting. Plus, there were so many great moments:
-The 10 minute Jericho-Sheamus finish -Kofi's handstand -Miz's incredible run, including starting off with A-Ry and R-Truth -The Cobra-Socko Showdown -Ricardo's performance -The surprise of Kharma -The nostalgic without being outdated or forced Road Dogg cameo
And that's all just off the top of my head. Really a fun Rumble, on top of a pretty under-appreciated event.

Only thing I liked was the few minutes Kharma was in. I don't even remember anything else about it.

I still maintain that Daniel Bryan should have been number 30.
And, while it won't be remembered as a classic, 2012 was more that competent considering the massive lack of depth in the roster in early 2012 (not to mention keeping out John Cena and Kane from the match).

It's been the best of the last 3 Rumbles, but it was just decent. 2010 and 2011 were just boring with the exception of JoMo's barrier spot and the Santino tease in 2011.
At least this one had Ricardo, Miz and Cody as the ironmen, Kharma, Kofi's handstand and handwalk, and Socko vs Cobra. They f***ed up massively with the Orton Barrett confrontation though. That should have been a big elimination, but it wasn't.

The gimmick of the 2012 Rumble was "The first Royal Rumble open to everybody" (which is the reason why we got Lawler, Booker and Cole), so, in my opinion, having the last guy be Daniel Bryan would have really played into his cocky and overconfident persona he had at that point (as in "He's the World Heavyweight Champion and he still wants more gold?").

I'm okay with Legends and joke entrants but, yeah, the announcers had no business being in there. And c'mon, NO ONE marked for the Road Dogg in the Rumble? 2012 wasn't great, but it was still a Rumble match, totally didn't suck.

It is the only event I've ever been to, so it was epic! I hated certain parts (cole and lawler entering) but popped hard for ricardo/road dogg. I was hoping HUGE for the Rock to be there, though knew deep down it was wishful thinking...

I thought that "open to everybody" stipulation was for wrestlers who had matches earlier in the night could still compete in the Royal Rumble (ex. Champion loses, but can still enter later). Doesn't make sense for either top champions to enter the Rumble. Never seen it happen.
