I can't be the only one who remembers this fun period from the Attitude Era. The idea was that Finkel was upset about being replaced as WWE's ring announcer by Lillian Garcia, so he did all sorts of stupid things to try to prove he deserved his old job back. I think my favorite was when Finkel took on Jericho as a mentor, and one night when Ken Shamrock chased Jericho out of the building they ripped off the infamous scene from No Hold's Barred by having Shamrock grab Finkel and snarl into his face before pausing and asking "What the hell is that smell???" All that was missing was for Finkel to wimper "D-dookie!" Anyone else got a favorite?

I recall he also feuded briefly with Tony Chimmel. The highlight of this being The Fink running down the aisle to the Ultimate Warrior's music.

I remember him being Jericho's lackey. That was funny. Also, I still remember him getting his head shaved by Jeff Jarrett before Summerslam 1998.
Does anybody else remember his speech about Lilian Garcia at Summerslam 2002?

Also, I still remember him getting his head shaved by Jeff Jarrett before Summerslam 1998. And part of the gang of wrestlers (previously attacked/shaved by Jarrett) who helped shave JJ's head at SSlam. Man, it's been that long since we've seen Finkel with much if any hair on his head. Dang. |

I wish he'd show up more for random stuff, and do some ring announcing in spots. We've more or less missed out on a perfectly good Fink the last decade. It's not like he was too old.
