Are the old Final Fantasy games really worth that much? I had the original releases for all of the PS1 ones except IX.

Fire Pro for PS2 based on how many damn Gamestop's I went to. Was thisclose to spending way too much on Marvel vs Capcom 2, but eventually downloaded it.
Gyromite? Probably some Intellevision game.

An uncut region 4 PS2 copy of 'Grand Theft Auto III'. Before it was taken off Australian shelves to due to reclassification. Still have it somewhere. Had this cover: Yep I have this too! My buddy & I went & bought them the day it was released coz we were sure it was gonna get pulled from the shelves after reading a review of the game online.

In terms of rarity, I once had a copy of Project Justice (now the rarest American released Dreamcast game). Got it for $15 at Gamestop years ago. I can't find it now though. I also have Duck Tales 2 and a Mr. Gimmick reproduction cart for the NES, and had one of the first-run copies of MGS3 Subsistance which went for $100-150 until they started getting more out there. I also once had Bomberman 64: The Second Attack (one of the worst games I've ever played, and I LOVED the original Bomberman 64 and Hero).
In terms of price, it would be Earthbound. Though my little bro is soon getting some of the Japanese Beatmania and DDR games, and some of those fetch prices that are near or above Earthbound.

I haven't really looked for exact numbers of copies of each game, but it would be one of the following:
Marvel vs Capcom 2 (Dreamcast) Shinning Force 3 (Saturn) Earthbound (with complete book) Suikoden 2 (PS) Zelda Collection (GC)
My favorite story about the Zelda collection on GC is that it was going for like $80-100 when it came out. Most people thought you could only get it if you bought the special GameCube that had it included. They did not realize that you could get it for subscribing to Nintendo Power for 2 years at a total cost of $30.

We were the one family with a Nintendo that had to actually BUY Super Mario Bros. separate. We had the Duck Hunt & Gyromite package with R.O.B. We celebrate his birthday every "Sunday before MLK Day" - by playing a Tecmo Super Bowl tournament and watching NFL Conference Championship games.
I have a Pro Wrestling game that says "Winner Is You". There's no "A".

I would probably have to go with "Marvel vs. Capcom 2" for the PS2 as the rarest game I have. Even if I do buy the PSN version of it, I am not getting rid of my hard copy. I will never forget the day I found it. It was back in 2005 (Has it been almost eight years already? It was even in January of that year when I found it) and when I saw it, I knew that I wouldn't leave the store without it.

Don't know how rare they are, but I do know they still fetch a nice price at the local game shops: Bubble Bobble (NES) Snow Bros (NES) Earthbound (SNES) Crono Trigger (SNES) Mario RPG (SNES) Final Fantasy 2 & 3 (SNES) I own all but Snow Brothers. Bubble Bobble isn't rare as much as it is just a really popular game. Part 2 on the other hand, now that's a rare'un

I have a SNES cart with a FF3 label which has a Square Soft sticker on the back which (correctly) labels it as Paladin's Quest (an Enix game).

Dunno about rare, but my cousin gave me an original run copy of FF8 (Not "platinum" I mean), and I've seen them going for about £50 on eBay. One day, I may sell it and re-download it on PSN. I'll make a profit at least! I still have my copy of that game. Had no idea that it was going for anything close to that. Time to check ebay! They don't often go for that much any more, around £20 each is more common, maybe up to £10 more for FF9. I wish I'd sold mine when the market was at it's highest but I think the digital re-releases have harmed prices, plus they're not really that rare anyway.

Let's see, off the top of my head:
Stack Up (NES, complete with box and all the blocks) Snow Brothers (NES) Cowboy Kid (NES) DuckTales 2 (NES) Chip 'n Dale Rescue Rangers 2 (NES) Wacky Races (NES) The Jetsons: Cogswell's Caper (NES) Donkey Kong Jr. Math (NES) Mega Man 1-6 (NES) Mega Man I-V (Game Boy) Mega Man X2 (SNES) Mega Man 7 (SNES) Earthbound (SNES) Super Mario RPG (SNES) Snatcher (Sega CD) Cubivore (GC) Zelda: Collector's Edition (GC)
There's probably more I'm not aware of. I know I own all of the Capcom NES games, so there are most likely a few more rarities there.

I remember, I got Suikoden 2 at Target back in the day for 20 bucks... wish I still had it, I don't know what the hell happened to the disk, but I still have the case and booklet.

It sold quite a few copies and isn't exactly what I would call rare (other than the people who made it) but considering how much it goes for in the UK, Banjo Tooie would probably be mine.

Mario and duck hunt going for 1.20$ on Ebay.
No, seriously speaking. I have an Ultra peck Carrier from Mc Donalds toy meals, this doesn't seem very good I know, but it was a one in 500 Win. I still have it...but it's just been covered with food and stuff like that. Oh well, what can I do aye?
