yeah. doesn't surprise me at all. If you actually watch the show. She's pretty tight with money. The first show she was on was about how her house is filled with items from couponing.

Surprising amount of common sense coming from this. I am pleasantly surprised.

And people will still rag on her and the entire family in order to make themselves feel better. Especially funny considering that for years and years people said reality TV needed to have more real people on it. They get it and they criticize them to death.
Such is life, I guess - I'm sure they couldn't care less. With the money they make off the show those kids are going to be set up for life and I'm glad for them.

Real people don't allow their 6 year olds to go to a bar and dance on tables while drunken college kids give dollar bills as she says "A dolla will make me holla"

That family is as real as Pamela Anderson's breasts.

Um, she's whoring out her daughter. Sure, the money will be good later in life, but she's permanently branding her to get it. Wherever she goes, no matter what she does, she will always be Honey Boo Boo.

They're the closest example of actual humans that have been on reality TV for years. Even though I'm a fan of the Jersey Shore, I'd definitely call this family more real than anybody on there, or any other reality show....ever.

Watch some good old fashioned PBS realtiy tv some time, will make you claw eyes out with the reality.

What I've seen of the extreme couponing stuff, though, seems to indicate other real weird tendencies, though, that could cause all sorts of other problems. Um, she's whoring out her daughter. Sure, the money will be good later in life, but she's permanently branding her to get it. Wherever she goes, no matter what she does, she will always be Honey Boo Boo. Thing is, in the society/media we're in, it's entirely possible that the kid could actually be forgotten by the prying eyes of the society/media that hypes and judges her now and get the ability to live a decent life, and grows up to be a completely different person that even those who might remember her couldn't recognize...

And if it weren't for that few people would watch the show. I highly doubt many people watch it because they relate, if they do, god help us all.

not gonna lie, that is pretty smart. Although if only she applied the same thing to caloric intake.

YOu dont get brownie points for being responsible with money.
She is still the mother that prostituted her 6 year old daughter to the world to get on TV.

y'know, I actually kinda like those people. they come off as really nice, and loving. yeah they're dumber than a bag of rocks, but it's not fair to make fun of them for that, especially considering how disadvantaged they likely were. I just hate how this show seems to exist purely to make people think it's okay to laugh at people on the lower end of the poverty scale.

Considering she has made her daughter the poster child for white trash, it's literally the least she could do.

I know way more Ronnies, Paulys and Snookis in real life than I do Honey Boo Boos.
