Swagger needs rebuilding, but the roster needs balance. There isn't anyone on the face side who could turn heel, who would be accepted as a heel, WITHOUT wasting possible face potential. How are we gauging face potential, because I honestly feel like Kofi is at the end of his road as a face and could turn heel in a few week's time. I don't care much for Kofi, but I feel Swagger has so much potential as a heel. And I don't like the idea of any of the lower faces just turning heel due to getting lost in the shuffle with all the recent face turns, and the face side of the spectrum getting bogged down with all the established names. Kofi is at the end of the road as a face, but in the event of a Kofi turn, I would rather see a dynamic personality like Derrick Bateman, a "workhorse like Tyson Kidd", an always dependable Santino Marella, or a charismatic Alex Riley, or a Yoshi Tatsu finally get the chance to move up than have Swagger continue the pattern of bogging the face side down even further.

I won't lie, I would mark pretty hard for Swagger turning up to a hero's return. He'd probably get crickets though, which would be a shame. Oh lords, they really need Slaughter and/or Duggan to help bring him back. Imagine Swagger running in to save Duggan amidst a heel beatdown (it sure helped restore Sarge's rep back in '91)

If Swagger comes back please keep him away from Vickie. She kinda ruined him irreparably as a manager.
(Unless the face-turn happy writers decide to turn them both face like Del Rio and Miz)

Anyone to get the belt off the guy with the gentle deadlifting finisher.

Oh, it's true, it's damn true. Of course he'd probably get DUI'd 25 minutes after winning the title, but still, it would be a helluva pop.

Better solution - bring back jack swagger as the masked patriot, complete with the 1997 theme that kurt angle later stole.

Lex Luger...longest U.S. Champ ever...Made in the USA, he can be our hero! Too bad he's too old and not in Total Package shape any more. If he still looked like he did in 2001 during the WWA in Australia days he could have put Antonio over and it would have been a nice thing for WWE to let Luger do. I dunno man, I was in an elevator with the guy back in May of last year (if it wasn't him he's got an identical twin lurking in Atlantic City somewhere) and the dude was still huge as hell. Probably not ring ready by any stretch but as far as looking jacked, I'd believe it.

I was mostly joking, but if he looks good with his shirt off or even an American flag shirt with cut-off sleeves, I'd love just one short, simple match between he and Cesaro. As I said, Luger is probably the best U.S. Champion in history and a little segment with Cesaro could play-in to his old WWF character and could be a nice surprise legend return.
