from wwe.com's "The evolution of Raw's set." (^^^Note D'Lo Brown) Forget D-Lo, I'm pretty sure that's Gillberg on the right.

You cut his hair and he looks like a complete meathead.

You cut his hair and he looks like a complete meathead. You make his hair longer and give him a goatee and he becomes Joey Mercury.

Wasn't sure whether to post this here or in the Indy pic/gif thread but I guess the indy pics/gifs thread's loss is the wwe pics/gifs thread's gain?

I've hated every RAW set since the brand split in 2002.
"That's just gaudy" is how I felt at the moment. Little did I know they'd get even more ostentatious.

I never realized so many people hated the post-Raw 1000 set. I thought it was a huge improvement over the original HD set. More symmetrical, made the tron seem larger, got rid of the overly skinny video screens aside of it...

More symmetrical, made the tron seem larger, got rid of the overly skinny video screens aside of it... This. It was a huge improvement for me, and is my favorite Raw set to date. I still think it could be improved though, mainly by putting the WWE logo back at the top (like it was at Raw 1000) and making the mini-trons symmetrical to center the entrance.

I like the current Raw set. If WWE had a small budget, I would totally understand playing off the raw, underground look. But they got stacks of cash, so the product better reflect it.

I think the fact that they got rid of the opening pyros would be a sign that they don't have stacks of cash right now.

What bothers me is the lack of opening theme songs on Raw and Smackdown.

What bothers me is the lack of opening theme songs on Raw and Smackdown. This post just reminded me how annoyed I am that they've stopped showing the opening intros. I don't get it, same with ditching the opening pyro. It helps get the crowd pumped up for the show instead of starting flat. Why get rid of that?
