Since I couldn't find an answer online, I'm hoping someone here might be able to answer a question for me. I know that to use Community Creations you need a X-Box Gold account, which I don't happen to have. If I were to get a 1 to 3 month Gold account, would I still be able to use things downloaded from Community Creations after it expires? Yes you can, did the same myself

I heard that the WWE license wasn't part of the auction and that would be sold later or something.

I heard that the WWE license wasn't part of the auction and that would be sold later or something. I've heard that EA purchased the WWE license as early as last week. Of course that's a heavy rumor. All the rumors seem to surround EA actually. I would be surprised if another company gets the license. Like LeBron taking his talents to South Beach surprised.

It's said WWE executed an out clause in their contract and are negotiating/have negotiated their own deal with a "prominent sports game publisher". So it's either EA or 2K that will be getting them.

Someone has to check the Observer because, the "prominent sports game publisher" line was credited to Meltzer. Meltzer and a credible source are Twitter both stated WWE worked out a deal a few days ago but there's been silence since.

Alex Lynch @thealexlynch97 WWE used an escape clause in their THQ contract and are in negotiations with "prominent sports game publisher". Could be EA or 2K.

I'm curious as to what this could mean for Yuke's and if they'll still be developing the games...

Well, if someone gets it an it's not good (I'm concerned about creation suites and player freedom... I don't want an arcade wrestling game), 13 was good enough and I'm an OK CAW maker to keep my roster current, that I'll just keep playing 13 til something good comes along. We'll probably end up falling back to those halcyon days of making people's stuff with formulas (except for those lucky hackers that trade via cas files).
Or, I'll finally shell out $30-40 on a "new" PS2 and pull out my copy of Fire Pro R. I want to do that anyway. We need a current gen Fire Pro. If we got that, I wouldn't care what happens to the WWE franchise. (and don't even mention the Xbox Live game... FP in name only)

So if it's not with EA, then I assume it's with 2K? All these rumors are speculating EA Sports. Like I've said before, I'll be surprised if they sign with another company.

Just read on CAW.ws, from a press release in Japan, that Yukes is very proud of their product and they're relationship with WWE and plan on working something out to stick with WWE and the new company. This gives me hope for new games that won't be a step backward. (translated from Japanese) "Regarding the WWE Series, at this time THQ Inc. (THQ) is in application of a United States Bankruptcy code Chapter 11 (corresponding to Japanese rehabilitation proceedings). Our company will consider future possibilities as soon as possible as we gather enough information. As our leading game software deal with THQ made a masterpiece of our one American popular wrestling organization WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment) series, for licensors rights (WWE, Inc.) and is consensual because I have maintained a good relationship, now I will continue to work together towards continuous trading after."

Of course Yukes wants to work with WWE, they had no wjere else to go unless some publisher decides to pick up the TNA license after years of ignoring them.
I don't want Yukes back. We need change desperately.

We need change desperately. Yuke's has the engine, EA has the money. As far as I'm concerned the problem was THQ, not Yuke's. Yuke's has made a handful of good WWE games. It was all a matter of timing to correct the bugs and stuff.
