Right now, we have three outcomes, and none of them point to a successor to WWE '14 this year. Take-Two could buy up the license and contract with Yuke's to finish WWE '14. I'm not sure how it realizes a profit from that. Take-Two could buy up the license and elect to develop its own simulation title in-house. If so, there's no way it's done by November, which raises the question of why Take-Two would take on that kind of expense now, if it's not going to see revenue until 2014. More likely, the next publisher of a WWE-licensed game is going the arcade route.

I have no idea what the arcade route refers to in this case. If it means some download-only, more simple game, I'll be sticking with 13.

If it's closer to No Mercy in play and feel, then things could be awesome. If it's closer to All Stars, as fun as that could be, I would definitely be bummed that the sim side would be gone, because that's as far from the type of wrestling game that I like. The saddest thing in all this is the idea that WWE 13, a game that's good but not great, could be the last gasp of the fans of real sim wrestling.

Anybody sim some Rumbles yesterday? I wanted to do one partly because of the Rumble itself, but more so because of NewLegacy's stream. It was one interesting Rumble, I must say.

Cody came out as #1. So, of course, Sandow comes out as #2. Fantastic start.

At one point both Lesnar and Punk were in, and they both eliminated 5 guys until they were the only two left standing, for a while.

The rest of the match was a sight to see. Shades of 2008, Cena enters at #30. The final four were Cena, Rock, Del Rio, and Tensai. At this point I just wanted Cena/Rock as the final two. Del Rio eliminates Rock, Tensai eliminates Del Rio. Now, I'm pulling for Tensai.

So, the Rock just became WWE champ in my game (Simulated Punk V Rock, he still won!), however, I'm giving it a twist, by having him be the current Rock, but as a Heel, giving him Attitude Rock's entrance animation and music. I considered giving him the Hollywood theme, but I just enjoy the Attitude theme.

Anyway, he's currently feuding with Punk, my CAW & R-Truth, which may have to end in a Fatal Four way for the belt at the next PPV.

Also, give Cesaro the Brudeschaft edit of Engel along with the intro from D-Mac's entrance for maximum Bad Ass!

Thanks. I knew it was too soon to come onto even just the game thread before I got to see the Rumble (Had to work last night)

Anyway, if they go the Arcade route, then I guess I can make 13 and FPR last another year (or forever?) I play for the simulation and creation aspect. I'd get bored with something as bare bones as a pick up and play.

In that amount of time we'll be able to get the damn thing to work properly enough to see what we'd like to download, be unable to connect... get frozen at a screen.... turn the game off then back on again, get back to the screen, load it up again, hopefully download one character.. get kicked off, game frozen again...turn off and on back again, and stare at the screen unable to download anything again just before it gets turned off for good.

... and I, for one, will piss on the corpse.
