Somehow I doubt a volleyball game with very talented but unattractive women would draw those same male fans. Well, that's what I mean. I should have said attractive athletic women. That's the whole gimmick of the divas. Yes, so it is totally a T and A thing if they're not just as willing to watch unattractive women play the same sport. Hence people saying they should watch porn or go to a strip club.

I've never been to a show, so I can't say for sure... but I find it very hard to believe that this "divas match = bathroom break" is solely down to them not being entertaining or talented. I'd guess it's probably more of a sexism thing.
Firstly, don't internet fans make up only a small portion of the tv-watching and live show-going audience? What do the casual fans know or care about wrestling skill and technique? I'm pretty sure most of these people are in it for the "soap opera" aspect of wrestling, and for the most part can't tell the difference between "good" wrestler and "bad" wrestler.
Secondly, how high on the card are they expected to be? Compared to the way they book the lower to lower-mid cards, there's barely any difference. This I don't know, but do people also walk out when these lower midcard wrestlers fight each other? If so, then it's not fair to single the divas out. If not, then "they are not entertaining" can't be the reason.
Lastly, how big is the market for women's pro sports leagues? I never see or hear them getting any attention. In America, it seems to be all about the NFL or MLB or NBA. So does that mean people only care about men doing athletic stuff? Wouldn't the same apply to wrestling as well?
Disclaimer: Like I said on top, I don't know for sure. This is my speculation.
