Meh, wake me when they do Kenshiro Vs. Batman. Would be pretty short and tragic. "You're already dead." "And that will be your downfall. I poisoned my soul." "...Wha--" [DEATH]

Yeah, they've trolled with some battles before, but here they at least had a good explanation for why they think that would happen. With how many people wanted to see it, I think they really, really wanted to show all of their work just to try to limit at least some of the hate mail they're going to get from otakus. They were going to get hate mail either way so they might as well just do what they think was accurate.

Batman was already killed by Spiderman anyway, I don't think they're going to reuse anyone.

I await the rematch. {Spoiler}Battle of the gods I have a feeling is going to change ALOT of certain things here...which is just going to have the arguement resurface.

As long as they continue to milk both franchises for what their worth and introduce new things, the argument will always happen. That's just how us as passionate fans are.

This, for me, was the nerd fiction of equivalent of CM Punk vs. Daniel Bryan.
I love both. I'm happy it happened, and I'm happy I got to see it. For me, regardless of the survivor, me and fans everywhere are the winners.

Even though I like Goku more than I like Superman, I can't argue against facts (no matter how fictitious the characters are). Superman's stats are way more than Goku's.
So, it made sense that Goku won.
I can't wait to see Randomguy's videos after this. Should be hilarious!

So really all they did was confirm that Superman even in his post Crisis form is ungodly broken. Seriously Superman is as strong as he needs to be? Talk about the ultimate cop out. Makes me dislike the Boy Scout even more, to be honest. He needs to have limits. I'm not talking about weaknesses he already has those, but he needs a set amount of limits. Doesn't matter what they are just anything is better than he flat out has no limits. Also I find it funny that they kept bringing up All-Star Superman for the purpose of Supes strength, but did not once mention how absorbing too much solar energy would break his body down like it freaking did in All-Star Superman!

{Spoiler}So they just fight 'till the earth blows up and everyone dies
So literally, no matter who wins, we all lose.

So literally, no matter who wins, we all lose. This was supposed to be released on December 21, the day the world was supposed to end. So the ending had a reason.

Really, it's a moot point since he's done stuff in mainstream DC that eclipses All-Star Superman by far (like the black hole closing thing). Even if they didn't include that stuff he'd get the strength nod.

Well, I thought it was going to be Goku, but in my defense I expected him to abuse Instantaneous Movement a lot more than he did, and I thought that Superman's ability to punch with the strength of X number of supernovas was a Pre-Crisis power. Just shows I need to read more Superman comics, I guess.
Oh well, epic battle nonetheless. Hope the next one doesn't seem too inferior.

That's a lot of solar energy he would have had to absorb. It didn't look like he did that in this battle.

Also, you can talk about how much Goku and Superman win a lot and how maybe that makes them "unstoppable" and the like, but no one, and I mean no one, has had more cop out, bulls*** wins than Batman.

I knew there was no way Goku was going to win this. I wanted him to win, but you can't beat facts. Those who say Goku is the most ungodly broken character in fiction really need to take a 2nd look at Superman. Or you know, they could just watch this video, ha ha. Goku just has too many weaknesses, flaws, and limits to defeat a being with very few weaknesses, and NO limits, and this is freaking Goku, who is practically god-like in general fiction.
So while I'm personally displeased with the result (albeit not surprised), I really enjoyed the battle itself. This will never end the argument though. Death Battle is just one of hundreds of different platforms that give their take on the question, except they use as much logic, facts, science and math as they possibly can to determine a fair winner. So yes, while in most cases Superman could defeat Goku, there are definitely other scenarios where the battle could turn in Goku's favor, and even Death Battle hinted at this. Although they covered it up by saying the chances of that are very, very slim.

As I said earlier, the whole point of Dragonball was that Goku had limits he needed to surpass to be as great as he has always wanted to be. So, I'm not surprised they used those limitations that have been stated in the manga and in the anime against him.
That was the concept that brought upon his battle with Vegeta. Vegeta felt that his status should give him the edge over "Kakarotto", the son of a low-class warrior who was born with an average power level and sent to a lower-leveled planet to conquer for the Planet Trade Organization. However, Goku proved that hard work and tenacity would prevail over a smug elite like Vegeta who feels like his status alone should be all he needs.
Limits were stated. Limits were never stated for Superman.

Oh, and Superman had no problem obliterating the Earth, and every being on it. Further proving that he is indeed, a dick. Goku wouldn't have done that.
