Did you watch the Last Man Standing Match? Anything but boring. yeah it was good, but del rio is just so very very dull This is my thinking too. The match was fun, but my interest in Del Rio is minimal, even with the face turn.

Del Rio is a good wrestler who'll hopefully kick on a bit now he's champion.
The right path would be a feud between him and heel Orton but unless Orton attacked Cena I don;t think it'd be possible to turn him heel again.

The weirdest part is that this comes less than four weeks after his face turn, and that was already completely out of the blue. It's as if they're rushing this as fast as possible to capitalize behind the "At least del Rio's awful, stale heel run where he agressively refuses to release the armbar on Kofi/Santino/Ryder over and over and over and over and over is finally over" goodwill and shove him into the spotlight before people have time to form opinions, negative or positive, on whether his new character is working.
I dunno, I'm not sure this is going to be the quick, transitional run everyone's expecting. It feels so out of nowhere that I'm honestly imagining Vince wandering into a meeting with the writers one day and yelling "WHY AREN'T WE BUILDING SMACKDOWN AROUND ALBERTO DEL RIO DAMMIT" and then wandering out and leaving the confused, shellshocked bookers to scramble together something to do about it.

Very happy. Alberto plays a surprisingly good baby face and I'm keen to see him continue on this path. Helps that he's facing Big Show and it's easy to be an underdog in that situation (Also having Show being on top of his game helps)
Keen to see how he fares against other smaller opponents; Dolph Ziggler as a fine example as I think matches between the two would be a hell of a good match.

I wanted Show to hold that belt forever, and eventually retire it when he retires. I have enjoyed Del Rio a lot as a face so I think he'll have a good reign, I just wasn't anywhere close to ready for Show's reign to end.

I'm going to reserve judgement for a little bit. Heel ADR bored the hell outta me. IF ADR can be anything more than mega face dick champion I'll be happy. However, I really don't expect ADR to hold the belt for too long.

Alberto is a bizarre case. Dude looks like a million bucks, is good in the ring, and not a terrible promo, an awesome entrance/personal ring announcer etc. and yet still no one cares about him.

I guess I'm your typical NYC/NJ internet smark who cheers for heels. In this case tho, heel Del Rio as WHC would've been meh to me. As a face, I'm very interested in how this plays out.
I must admit though, between JBL screaming "BRILLIANT!!", the crowd going nuts as soon as the re counted to 10, Del Rio looking like he was crying, Ricardo going even crazier, and celebrating with the crowd, it was definitely a feel good moment.
