New England is a 9.5 point favorite over Baltimore.
Seriously, Vegas has a hard-on for these guys.
TAKE THE POINTS!

Falcons are the very definition of blah. No special player you HAVE to see, no exciting QB, no intriguing story lines, no rival you absolutely can't wait to see them play.
They just have nothing to want to see unless you're an actual fan of their team. The only thing most of us can get out of being forced to watch them clog up a playoff spot is watching them fall flat on their faces on the big stage again. They avoided that today....just barely. We'll see Sunday.

BTW when did everybody here start hating the Falcons? I don't hate them, I just don't trust or believe in them. They got a lot of players I love I just look at their history and have come to the conclusion that if I had to put my life on the line on their playoff games, I'd pick against them everytime and not second guess it. They remind me of the Eagles when they were the pick to get to the SB every year, reached the NFC Title game 4 years straight and only got there once. They got to the SB and I still didn't trust them.

Is Vegas gonna set the line on how many times the cameras gonna cut to Ray Lewis for no reason? Because no matter what I'm going over.

The sad thing, as an organization, they run themselves a lot better with building a team, front office, and roster development than the Jets- yet the Jets practically got more spotlight in losses than the Falcons did for wins

Falcons are a great organization right now. They are a good team. There isn't anything to hate about them. There is just a team like that in any sport you can think of.
Atlanta Hawks, San Diego Padres, etc.
They can be fine teams. But why would I ever need to watch them?
And coming from me, who is a pretty easy lay when it comes to finding a rooting interest in a sporting event not involving a team I'm a true fan of, that's bad.

It's like a trainwreck that you can't help but watch and invest interest in. Nobody outside of their fans care about the Falcons because there's no reason to - they're just there. There's nothing special about them in any way, shape or form. The Jets make people laugh, the Falcons don't illicit much of a response from anybody.

New England is a 9.5 point favorite over Baltimore. Seriously, Vegas has a hard-on for these guys. If New England were the underdogs, or favored by 7 points or less, the number of people betting on the Pats would be insane. If the Ravens were 10 point dogs, the number of people betting on the Ravens would be insane. It's not Vegas thinking the Pats are going to win by that much, it's where they can get closest to a 50/50 split on the action.

Same thing happens when you see beginning of the year Super Bowl odds for every team. Even if say for example the Cowboys are projected to be the worst team ever there will be enough action on it you don't want to make the odds too high or you'll pay out the nose if it somehow happens.

Really hoping we go secondary with that first pick. I still love Champ Bailey and still feel he's one of the best in the league, but Smith made him look a fool plenty of times yesterday. I still think he's got a few years in him, but with the rest of that secondary coming together more great players can only help.

I'm hoping we re-sign Porter but I don't think the docs in Denver will clear him for some reason and I don't think he's happy about it. I think Harris will be good but yeah we need someone big and physical to sit under the learning tree so to speak.

Not saying, just saying- how would a healthy Porter have affected Saturday?

Not saying, just saying- how would a healthy Porter have affected Saturday? Man, I honestly don't know. He'd definitely help - but a secondary can only go off of what the D-line gives them. Our pass rush was practically non-existent, so he might've helped out some - but it starts with the dudes up front.

Not saying, just saying- how would a healthy Porter have affected Saturday? Would have let us move him or more likely Harris around more instead of sticking Harris on Bolden all night, giving us better coverage over the top and on Pitta. Honestly the more I look at the game I think Moreno going down just before the half may be what hurt us most in that game. Fox didn't trust Hester to block, Hillman is too small and I think that led to his ultra conservatism. I still don't like that he didn't give it a chance though.

I'm more excited for the NFC title game. We get some new blood.
AFC- Rematch? Boring. And spare me the 'Win one for Ray Lewis' stuff. Instead of Manning, we get Joe Flacco, one of the most annoying QB's in football. I hate rematches, I hate the Patriots, and come gametime, I'm gonna be sick and tired of Ray Lewis.
