I like ADR having the WHC, don't tell me he has to give it up already. If they wanted to test the waters with Ryback as champeen, they should have had him win it at Hell in a Cell when he was red hot (not that he's lukewarm now or anything) and had Punk win it back at Survivor Series (as Punk/Rock has obviously been set in stone for a while) imo.

They're in a weird position right now with Del Rio just becoming champ and Ziggler holding the briefcase. I don't know how they could shoehorn him into it at the moment, and I seriously doubt they want to do Face vs. Face with him against Del Rio.

The consolation belt? Why bother.

Shortly after he finishes his feud with the Shield. If Ryback's really good enough, his momentum should hold until WWE is ready to trust him with the belt.

I want him to beat Punk at Mania for the WWE Championship.

Right now, I think Ryback has a better chance at winning the WWE title, than the World title.

He needs bigger wins the the Super IC Title. Booking him is going to be a tricky pain in the ass. Given the events involving said title, he's probably not winning the Rumble.
So what do you do with him at EC? He isn't going to win that match either. Do you put him in one, feed him guys and then have him job to Rock/Cena/Punk/Orton/Sheamus/whoever is winning the one he's in?
Really what he needs is to start killing the guys higher up the card. Needs to kill Show after WM. Needs to kill Punk after WM... etc.

Two and a half months ago at Hell In A Cell

I still say he should have won the title at Hell In A Cell and dropped it back to Punk on the first Raw of the year via Shield screwjob. That way he would have had a decent test run with the belt and he would only have been screwed over the once rather than three times already. And it wouldn't have affected Punk/Rock at all. It's not like people will be paying specifically to see Punk lose the title anyway. They'll be paying to see Rock win the title. Whether Punk's had the title for 30 days or 300 days is meaningless at the end of the day and adding more days to his reign isn't worth as much as potentially creating a new top level star. Having Ryback lose all these matches to Punk only really makes sense if it ends with Ryback being the one to finally dethrone him at 'Mania but Punk is obviously going to drop the title to Rock at Rumble or EC and be working with Rock, Cena or Undertaker at 'Mania while Ryback might, at best, get the consolation prize of the World title. He'll look awful though if he wins the Rumble and chooses not to go after the WWE title. It would be like if Batista in 2005 chose to go after JBL rather than HHH. Which is why he can't win the Rumble. Realistically the only people who can win the Rumble are Cena, Orton, Sheamus, or the loser of Rock/Punk, if that match goes on before it. I guess Brock could win it too but it would make no damn sense. And then they're trapped at EC with him.... yet again. I bet in some sense they regret not sticking to the original plan with Ryback. It would have been much better for him to lord over a midcard title like Cena did, before his ascent to the top. Instead he's going to fail to do something 5 consecutive times before winning at WM. Hell, he even lost at TLC, so really 6.

I thought Big Show could have made sense provided Punk lost the title to Rock. Then Ryback could say there was no reason to go after the WWE Title since Punk was already done and then had a legitimate choice.

I'd go Extreme Rules with a victory over Punk. Punk could retain in a triple threat over Rock and Cena and have one final match with Ryback getting his final rematch after that.
Least then the title goes to someone new and who be around for awhile.

At this point, I figure he'll probably end up with the US or IC belt first -- possibly at Wrestlemania. And maybe he'll win the WWE or World title at Summerslam.

I still think his mega push came too soon and too huge. I would probably prefer to see him properly go through the midcard first, maybe having a very credible reign with one of the US or IC titles. But he's also been putting out strong performances and is undoubtedly popular with the fans, so I wouldn't mind him winning the WWE or WHC by the end of the year.

Since they've apparently decided to push del Rio as the new big Smackdown face, I'm not sure where Ryback fits in. He was a last-minute fill-in replacement pushed because a real main eventer got injured, but he got much more over than the bookers expected him to, so they basically tried to work around him and squandered the opportunity to really capitalize on his popularity.
The best I can think of now is to wait until Wrestlemania season passes and then build Ryback up as the big summer angle. But even then, I'm not sure he'll be able to generate the same amount of momentum a second time around.
