Give us Southern Hemisphere folks some cold and in exchange we'll give you some heat.
From an Australian girl who despises hot days, especially when it's still in the mid to late 30's at almost 10 PM at night.

Sorry, no deal. I already find it disturbingly warm around here for January.
I remember that when I was a kid we would usually get our first major snowfalls in mid to late November, and we wouldn't see the ground again until sometime in March. These days we're lucky if we get any snow at all before January, and if we do, it usually melts the next day.

I have plenty of snow and cold to hand around. Although, living in Alaska sucks. ![:(](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/sad.png)

I would love to give you some of this cold front that the Southwest US is suffering from, trust me.

Well, fat chance for me. It's barely been freezing all winter, over here.

Ok, I just went outside and thrust my arms repeatedly in the direction of Australia, trying to wave coldness in your direction.
Your turn.

I could box some up and send it your way but I don't quite think it'll stay cold on the way over.

I love in Iowa, I should have feet of snow on my lawn... and it's bare.
ISO Snow. My fish need a good spring thaw after last year's drought. The lakes/rivers are low.

No. We want some snow, god damn it. Have some of ours! Has only Norwich/Norfolk seen snow this week? The roads have been crazy here since Tuesday because of it and the subsequent ice; a friend of mine finished work at 1:30 to make his usual 30 minute journey home - took him SIX hours.

I would, but I live in Florida and we're having a high of 79 today.
...what? Florida is still Northern Hemisphere.

You live in Australia and you despise hot days? Damn f***ing straight, I do. I love colder weather, because I find it easier to get warm in colder weather than I do trying to get cool in hot weather.

You wouldn't be saying that if you experienced -25 weather with -30 windchill and were forced to walk across a windy bridge to get to school.

Of course not... but that s*** just doesn't happen here in Australia (the all-time record here is barely -23C (-9F)). When I say colder weather, I mean your 10-20C (50-70F) degree range. Maybe I'm just a little pissy because I have to go out in 38C (100F) degree weather tomorrow...

This is one of the reasons I left Florida. In cold weather (MN) there's always an extra blanket. In hot weather... I'll spare your minds of the rest of this statement.

Can we make the trade immediately? We have a couple of inches of snow at the minute and the heating in this house is broken so I'm wearing three coats indoors so the sooner the better ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) .
