Not in any specific genre, just in general.
When I say "anti-hero", I'm not talking about a character that has a lot of angst but is otherwise a standard good guy- I'm never gonna get sick of that. I mean more your Han Solo/Wolverine/Rorschach/Punisher types.
I'm not bothered by anti-heroes per se (mind you, I'm a die hard Boardwalk Empire fan, where just about everyone has bloody hands), but the older I get, the more I get invested in more of the Luke Skywalker/Captain America/Night Owl/Superman types.

I still like Rorschach. Why? Because to me he's a great character. I don't care what end of the hero/anti-hero/villain/anti-villain spectrum a character falls on as long as they are a good character.

They are fine, but I think it is often so very forced.
It is harder to make a good anti-hero than a good hero, probably.

Rorschach is a fantastically written character. The unfortunate thing is that 90s comic writers thought "wow, he's cool", and didn't realise that the fact that he was so different from the norm was part of what made him stand out, and making every character like him was a recipe for disaster.

Eh, the only one I've really loved is The Punisher. Definitely my favorite comic book character and the Punisher MAX series from 04 (I believe) is probably my favorite comic series.

eh, how I look at it, a good character is a good character regardless of what kind of character they are.

I like when they are the exception to the rule, not the rule.

Han Solo was a reluctant hero, not an anti-hero.
Good anti-heros tend to be evil characters in a more evil world.

Nah, they can be as interesting as any other type of character. Actually, I find some books that lack heroes entirely to be tremendous fun (like Zelazny's Amber books, where everyone's fighting over the succession and there's no real morality to be had except for survival and getting what you can get and trying not to be so horrible that you can't live with yourself tomorrow along the way). As long as characters feel like plausibly real people, or failing that are at least highly amusing, I'm along for the ride.

I just find it kinda lazy, personally. It can add to a story really well if done right, but when you have a guaranteed "Anti-hero turns full-on hero" plot to rely on, it does tend to end up rather uncreative.

My problem with antiheroes is that many are juvenile attempts at making a cool character. I prefer a little moral complexity to my heroes, but the part and parcel antiheroism you usually see is just the opposite end of the "boy scout" scale. Just as shallow.
Otherwise, I agree that a good character is a good character.

When I was reading comics in the 90s I got seriously sick of anti-heroes. It seemed like every damn comic book tried to turn everyone in it into some kind of badass and it got annoying pretty fast. The 'grim' storylines got annoying too.
