Well, things just can't be simple with the PC release of this game, can they? Turns out Valve screwed something up regarding worldwide currencies and so the game STILL isn't release. Hopefully it'll still be fixed fast enough to be released today: pinballarcadefans.com/showthread.php/6313-Important

The game is, at long last, now on Steam ready to download and play.

The game is, at long last, now on Steam ready to download and play. OF COURSE that would happen while I'm out. Well as a revenge, I'll pin the SHIT out of those balls! If I'm not mistaken, Arabian Nights comes free forever with the game, right?

It says it does, so I'd assume so. I was genuinely shocked when I first learned about that, BTW. I mean, I was hoping for one or two "starter" tables, but Arabian Nights is one of the all-time classics and a very sought after table so I wouldn't have expected them to give away a table that could have made them so much money for free. Kudos to Farsight for that, especially since this is one of my favourite tables.

My one gripe is that tables have to be bought in game. Wish it was like Pinball FX 2 so friends could gift me tables.

Oh man oh man oh man I just gave this baby a try and the wait was sooooooo worth it! It runs smooth as a baby's skin, the tables look gorgeous, the sound is perfect and the physics are excellent (though I am still under the impression that Visual Pinball is even more realistic).
Two minor nitpicks I have are:
_ There doesn't seem to be any good camera angle on any table when launching a ball, making it very difficult to pull off skill shots (this game REALLY needs a free-roaming camera like in Future Pinball). It's especially frustrating considering the possibility to use the mouse for the plunger is a really nice feature that adds realism and makes it easy to control the strength of the shot; _ I wish there were a key to look up at the backlight/DMD display. I mean, for a game that aims to simulate the pinball experience as realistically as possible, it's a shame that you can't relieve the "take a quick look at the score and hope you don't lose your ball" feeling. No seriously, it actually makes playing too easy in my book without it.

Man, checking the leaderboards can be a humbling experience. Although with that said, I'm doing pretty good for myself on Scared Stiff and Bride of Pin*Bot.

I know this is a Pinball Arcade thread, but I think it'd interest some people that the Humble Weekly Sale is Pinball FX2. www.humblebundle.com/weekly

I'd say I just broke my previous Bride of Pin*Bot score, but I think "obliterated" would be a more appropriate term:
