I guess my issue is Matt Hardy, and I still have issues with him from his suicide s*** storm. So when I saw people come in, things made sense. Jimmy Rave has always been a hated heel in ROH. Cliff Compton's gimmick makes him seem like a s*** disturber, so he fits in for a debuting talent. And Rhett Titus kinda got lost in the shuffle at no fault of his own. All three make sense to have issues with ROH, well, except Comptpn, but again, he seems to like chaos. It's Matt Hardy that doesn't fit in, I guess because he was already a heel, and I can see him feeling he got screwed out of a TV title shot, but I don't know. When the first three came in, it was awesome. But when Matt came in, it was less of a surprise. And I have that anti-Matt Hardy bias I admit. |

I'm as anti-Matt Hardy as anybody but if the hope is to get a heel reaction for SCUM, Hardy was just the guy to add to the group for that.

Titus got a "finally they're doing something with him" reaction. When Hardy came out and revealed he was with SCUM, the shit hit the fan (or the garbage hit the ring, as it were). As much as they tried, SCUM were getting a face reaction most of the time. Hardy changes that dynamic. Sure, Steen, Compton, and Rave might get cheers, but the group as a whole will be booed mercilessly. |
