What is even happening here? Did his opponent move on purpose, and he landed on his feet on purpose, and the point of the whole thing was just to kick the guy in the face? Did he land beside his opponent on accident and then tried to cover for it by kicking him? Did he injure his leg, and that's why he collapses after kicking him? So many questions. So few answers.

I'm fairly certain that was the intended spot, sans the leg injury. I know there's a match with Joey Ryan (I think it was against Joey Ryan) where he does the same thing, only he eats a superkick from Joey instead.

There's the Okada/Nakamura side of Chaos: the main-eventers that are pretty much faces, and the Yano/Yujiro/Iizuka side: the lower/mid-card heels.

Ishii (though nowadays he's pretty much on the Nakamura/Okada end), Gado and Gedo are the glue that keeps it together. And Yoshi-Hashi just sucks.
