Spoilers for size {Spoiler} Maybe it's just me, but does it seem as blatantly obvious to anyone else that the "Feminist Perspective" was actually written by a guy who thought of a "clever" way to get his classmates to tweet pictures like that?.....By disguising young women's gullibility (about school pride, etc.) under the guise of female empowerment, no less. Don't get me wrong, women's bodies are a wonderful thing, but this comes off as quite creepy and misogynistic.

I saw this was a King Ghidorah thread and saw "breast" so I naturally assumed the other breast was missing in some horrific fashion.
I am pleased that I was wrong.

I think there's room for a discussion about objectification vs empowerment, pro-sex vs anti-sex, differing feminisms, but yeah there's no need for the "a guy must have thought this up" part, which undercuts the agency and self-expression in these acts.

It's not unheard of for women to do this kind of thing. It seemed to me that it was thought up by a guy, just by the language that was used ("ladies"?), and how the slant of the piece was feigning how "girls must feel left out of the school sports experience." Maybe it's just me, but does it seem as blatantly obvious to anyone else that the "Feminist Perspective" was actually written by a guy who thought of a "clever" way to get his classmates to tweet pictures like that?.....By disguising young women's gullibility (about school pride, etc.) under the guise of female empowerment, no less. Don't get me wrong, women's bodies are a wonderful thing, but this comes off as quite creepy and misogynistic. It's funny, This post is more misogynistic than what's going on at KU. and perhaps I could have worded my responses more carefully, but I don't find the intentions behind my statement to be outwardly misogynistic. Was it because I used the word gullibility? In that case, I apologize, though I did not intend it as women in general being gullible, but in the context of the story. If it was a story about instead of showing your breasts, to shave your head , or for males at the school should tweet pictures of their penis with the KU Jayhawk on it to show school pride, it would be the same. Gullibility is not a gendered word as far as I know. And if it was the note that I find a woman's body to be a wonderful thing, I do, in that I am honored that my girlfriend shares her body with me, and mine with her.

It's Ghidorah's new gimmick. Occasionally putting misleading titles in actually lighthearted threads.
