As over half of Gotham City’s police force is being used to cover the whole perimeter of Arkham Asylum, a shadowed figures floats over them, hidden by the night. The shadow has floated over cars, officers, guns and news vans. He finally dives and lands next to an old man with white hair, an overcoat and holding a radio.
“Oh, there you are….I never get used to that.”
“Well at least you get a pleasant surprise out of it. Give me the details.”
“Huh, right. All inmates inside are loose, all doors open, and chaos has ensued.”
“How many members of the staff are left?
“How many are alive? One. And I guess you know who.”
“Cash. Is he safe?”
“No. Inmates are breaking down his barricade as we speak. All the staff members are dead and he tells me that inmates are now killing each other.”
“I take it that is why you have the radio? What caused this, a riot? I am surprised at how fast this happened…Arkaham’s emergency situation usually involve an escape…”
“Yep. He is all we have left. He is currently aiding his barricade. He will be back to me soon. And that is why there is this perimeter, in case a mass prison break ensues. The problem is that there is no way out.”
“What do you mean?”
“An unknown figure broke into the security facility of Arkham and released all inmates. For some reason, as all cells and doors were being opened, something was activated.”
“Was it the new emergency system?”
“Yes. What is it exactly? All I know about it is from the news.”
“Tax payers and citizens were tired of having a facility that continuously failed to keep in mass murderers. So then Arkham purchased the new security system from Wayne Tech Enterprises.”
“What does it do? How do you know of this?”
“I do my homework. It is a new security that fortifies down all ways out of Arkham Asylum in case of riot or a possible escape. That way, no one gets out. The problem is that the only to override the emergency mode is through the code, which is set by whoever activates it.”
“Oh my god. They are caged in, like rats. There is no way we can go in, huh?”
“There is a way. One way in, and one way out. It was created in case system did make an environment like it is now but only one person knows, the warden. That precaution took place to make sure the corrupt guards wouldn’t leak the information.”
“Well the warden is dead. You are going in alone?”
“No, I called up Nightwing and the Red Hood. This situation is too dangerous for Robin, and I need him and Red Robin to watch Gotham. Hood and Nightwing are strong enough to endure this. This could take hours but most likely….days.”
Batman turns and begins to head towards Arkham. Gordon grabs
Batman’s arm, turning him around to face the commissioner.
“I am going with you!”
“No, you are not!”
“Damn it! You know more than anybody why I need to go! He might be a freak! He might be Satan himself. But he is still my son!”
Batman turns around.
“Fine. But there is no guarantee we can save him, or he is even alive! Take one officer with you, and we leave.”
“Maybe he is the not the one that needs to be saved…”
“Trust me….there is no saving anyone in there.”
“Bullock. You are heading in. Appoint Montoya as in charge while I am in Arkham! Keep this perimeter in case there is break out!”
Suddenly, the radio goes pulls through with a voice heavily breathing, practically whimpering words.
“Gordon…..Gordon? Get me out of this hell.”
“Damn it! Hang on Cash! We are going in now!”
A sudden snap sound emits from the radio and the breathing is over.
Itsvadertime565-Aaron Cash-The One Handed Arkham Guard Townie-Town Aligned-is dead.
“Quick, let’s go!”
After going through the sewers, the five brave men enter Arkham Asylum through a path that leads to right under Arkham Asylum. After opening the entrance and all have entered, they hear an explosion beneath. They blow the sewers behind them so that no one could leave.
“We got in….but it looks like there will be no way out of…Hell on Earth!”
