I've always felt that some people who are trying to get their lives in order through taking steps with their drinking have the right to continue to drink, as long as they know their limit.
Jake doesn't strike me as the kind of guy who can limit himself, and I honestly think it's not a good idea for him to "have a couple" or whatever. That's just how you get yourself right back into bad habits, and given his track record, I would think it has to be all or nothing.
It's a real shame though if he is drinking again, because I totally expect it to escalate very quickly.

I don't know what is supposed to be in and out with these guys as they try to get clean, but I was at the Nashville Full Moon Tattoo and Horror convention Saturday and while he looked the best I had seen him in years, Jake was hitting the bar a bit. And it wasn't for beer, he was getting the strong stuff. I'm not saying you're lying, but I'm not taking the word of just one random person on the internet. If this was indeed happening, there would've been reports elsewhere. Again, not calling you a liar, I'm just skeptical without any actual evidence. Not saying what he says is the truth but I'm not sure there are 20 guys following old wrestlers around waiting for a scoop, and I'm pretty sure a lot of people would not recognize him.

What they had going on was the Full Moon Tattoo and Horror Convention and it takes place in the Nashville convention center at the same time as the TMAC Anime convention. So it is pure chaos for the most part. They have these giant areas for the meet and greets for both and in between they have medium like area to sell drinks and food to both people, but mostly the anime people went there. Now they sell alcohol there as well as in the meet and greet areas. When we first got there my friend wanted a beer before we went to the horror area so we went to the stand in the medium and right there next to us was Jake. At first I was shocked to see Jake because I had never seen him in person before then it hit me that he wasn't getting soft drinks, he had a little glass getting liquor.
Now we were there for a long time and I did notice at least twice that when Jake took his break he wouldn't go to the bar in the horror area, he would go out in the area where both the horror and the anime crowd was, but it was mostly anime and naturally most of them had no clue who he was. DDP wasn't taking the same breaks Jake was so DDP was still doing photos when Jake would do this.
Yes, I understand I have no proof other than my word and what I saw. But I have no reason to lie on Jake who is one of my favorites and I hated to see it because I assumed Jake was off everything. I was there because I get a press pass to go due to my horror site, but I wasn't going to run and flash a camera on Jake at the bar.

I've just learned to be skeptical is the main point I'm trying to get across. Anyone can make up anything on the internet. I have no connection to the situation or anything like that, but I guess it's just a case of wanting to believe he's doing what he says he's doing. Oh well, its not anything that's bothering me or worried about. I'm just going to leave it be, because I certainly have more than enough going on in my own life. If I offended you, then I'm sorry.

I can't remember the exact person, but I remember listening to someone on Opie & Anthony mention that they saw Jake Roberts at a bar for some wrestling deal. It was just some passing comment...

From WZR Online
Scott Hall is out of surgery and is in recovery. His hip was in bad shape but the early word is the procedure was a success.
UPDATE: Diamond Dallas Page and Scott Hall posted the following after Scott Hall got out of surgery today: DDP: @scotthallnwo just got out of surgery & all went well! Surgeon said hip looked bad & now he should feel much better Hall: Any dudes ever had a tube shoved up in your… you know? Not fun… removing it is gonna be worse. A small pain to endure to walk again…

Wait, so is Roberts still drinking? I think basic research would lead anyone to understand that a person with decades-long drinking problems would be setting themselves up for disaster by imbibing casually. Sure, a couple while staying with DDP - but what the hell is he going to do when his time's up at the Crib?
If true I hope DDP gets on him ASAP. Between that and Scott Hall being conscious of Jake drinking 'once in awhile' the whole thing will turn out disastrous in the long run. And the goal of this whole thing obviously is the opposite.

Don't know if Jake is actually drinking again, as I've not heard anything outside of here....but I noticed last night that DDP invited Foley to come join them for a week after Foley claimed that seeing Jake during Wrestlemania weekend meant that he was "officially out of excuses". There's a few tweets that went back and forth between first Jake inviting Mick to come join them, followed by DDP also inviting him. No reply from Mick yet, but seeing as he's on his comedy tour soon I dare say it wouldn't be for a while even if he did..

There's no excuse for screwing this up, especially if fans donated so much money. If I had donated to this cause (I didn't because I don't have sympathy for either), I'd be super pissed if I heard about crap like this going on.

It's a really tough call.
If I thought there was even a chance that either guy was going to fall off the wagon, and that would upset me if I had donated. Then I wouldn't have donated because, sadly, I think there is a slim chance both guys will remain sober for life.
Donating to the indigogo (sp) / kickstarter projects for Jake and Scott Hall was so they could afford surgery. Not a promise that they would remain sober. Obviously that is the goal and what everyone wants to see, but I don't know how I feel about someone saying "I donated and I'll be pissed if I see these guys drinking or doing drugs again."

I think most people donated because they wanted to see a 'feel good story of redemption'. That's how the indiegogo campaigns came off. The funds were for the surgeries that would allow them the opportunity to continue with exercising and their redemptions. They even professed how fortunate they were to have a second chance. For them to screw it up would be stupid, and I'm sure lots of donors would regret contributing.

You'd think that with everything being on internet nowadays there'd be some photos of videos of him drinking recently.

You'd think that with everything being on internet nowadays there'd be some photos of videos of him drinking recently. That is a very good point. Ok someone is saying they saw this and that. Not to say it is in fact a lie but there is no proof. Being at the kind of event this was taking place at. That means 1,000s with cameras were there. You mean to tell me that non of them took a picture of this to back up the claims? That what getting me. Any there event of one falling of the wagon there pictures and videos. I'm sure someone showed this news to Jake as any other time has. Now, like the early going of this started for Jake. They had video of getting a drunk Jake. I'm sure they would had a response to this by now. I mean anybody can say they saw a guy do it. With all the lairs on the net these days. Photos or a video is the only way to be sure a believable story no matter who the source is. They way people knowing know Jake is doing this rehab stuff. If someone saw this there would been a picture I think. Just like they do a Celebrity. This is why I kinda question it and Not jumping on there cases so much.

When you google the incredible Arthur's name the template comes up with his name and "fake" behind it. It brings up a couple links with people wondering if he was a fake and a number of people debunking that. Granted Arthur getting into shape is more than Jake getting in shape because Arthur was handicapped but Jake is a celebrity and TMZ has probably had lesser celebrities especially ones not currently in the news like Jake has been in the last half a year. Jake was just at a show wearing the DDP yoga t-shirt so I think if something were wrong there'd be damage control of having him distance himself from the brand. I'm not trying to defend Jake at all or saying anyone's making it up but even non-celebrities can't be at an event and not wind up posted on facebook. Even if he fails he hasn't been this good for so long probably since he became a household name and besides that no wrestler has probably done as much for another wrestler (combined with people in general) than Diamond and there's nothing to be ashamed of.
