I'll say that I'm now friends with everyone that said Yes, Dear, Still Standing, and Titus. I love all of those shows. I would love to be watching that but thanks to having cable in Wyoming, I don't have BET. I have BET.... .... but I also am on Dish. I solved my problem thanks to BET.com, that show is freaking hilarious. Kevin in his lawyer's office had me rolling. That and "Have fun, hope he doesn't make you play with ya asses out!"

I'm on the Real Husbands of Hollywood bandwagon. Man is that hilarious. Everyone serves their role extremely well.

Andy Richter Controls the Universe. I'd vouch for it, and the 8-episode marathons (which I believe is half the series) they used to run on Paramount Comedy in the twilight hours were a very welcome companion on many nights for me. Sean Lock, of panel show and stand-up fame, had a brilliant series, called 16 Storeys High. It was critically acclaimed at the time, but never really gained any traction the pop canon. Fantastic bit of dark comedy, about a miserable, quasi-hermit living on the....wait for it...16th Storey of a council flat building.

I agree with Grounded for Life and Still Standing. Another one I would say is underrated is 8 Simple Rules. That show was hilarious, and I think it could have been on longer, had John Ritter not passed away so suddenly, and not adding additional characters to the main cast.

Since there seemed to be a lot of "Disney-esque" live action shows on Nickelodeon (like the terrible Jamie Lynn Spears show) that I couldn't stand, I will say that one show "Ned's Declassified" was actually good for a laugh.

Like 5-6 years ago I used to watch tv (upn57) at like 1am or so, so I def agree with yes, dear and still standing. But my favorite show from this block was Becker.

Ned and Stacey had a lot of continuity problems which I suspect might at least partially account for the fact that it was cancelled in the middle of the second season, but at times it was a very funny show. Since it doesn't seem to be incredibly popular I guess I should feel lucky that they released the first season on DVD, but since I highly doubt they'll release the partial second season by itself it's frustrating that they didn't just do a complete series disc. I actually think most episodes of this show were slightly funnier than your average episode of Wings, a more popular and longer running sitcom that also had Thomas Haden Church in the cast.

'Jesse' with Christina Applegate was pretty good.

"Barney Miller" doesn't get the recognition it deserves.

"Barney Miller" doesn't get the recognition it deserves. Good call, it always gets lost in the shuffle of late-'70s/early '80s comedies. Still pretty funny. That whole cast just melded and filled their roles well. (Plus, it has a pretty kick-ass theme song.)
