As soon as the lights went out I had a glimmer of hope that something interesting was about to be set up for WM but alas no. Also I watched the Rumble and this match with my girlfriend and was continually embarrassed by the awful commentary culminating in "THE SHIELD! THE SHEILD! IT WAS THE SHEILD! THE SHEILD!", I had to remind her throughout that I also hated it and that its one of the many reasons I dont watch on a regular basis anymore.

More importantly, all these arenas really allow way too much access to lightswitches. What if Undertaker's whole career has just been a cover for his 'lights go on/light go off' OCD?

Did they really go through the trouble of making Rock take another table bump in the dark? I assume not, but that would be funny.

Unless they've changed since the mid-'90s when I last saw one (several 'Taker entrances from circa 1993 to 1997), wrestling "black-outs" are pretty much the equivalent of standard house show lighting without the lights on over the ring. You couldn't just make it pitch black in the arena without warning. It's still pretty bright in there, it just looks dark on TV.

I don't get it. At all. It's kind of a small horse, I mean what am I missing? Am I crazy?

It was a rare showing of common sense by an authority figure.

I'm almost certain that Cole said that he saw them.

"CHIODA, IT WAS THE SHIELD! CHIODA!" will be the call Cole is most remembered for.

Why did Cole care? Continuity, c'mon. Guess that's what happens when the whiteboard guy gets ridiculed into quitting.
I know Cole's a tweener now, but Rock absolutely humiliated him the last time they were in the ring at the same time. Now he's incredibly upset about the Rock being screwed.

Because his job is to call the match and in a case where the lights go out and he sees what the viewers can't, he probably figured for some reason that he should tell the audience what was going on.

The ref is the audience? That's something cheesy face announcer Vince would do. Made no sense.

They attacked Rock in this exact same way 6 days before. Who else was it going to be? Who else is known for turning off the lights and attacking people these days in WWE? (And no, past wrestlers don't count, since they're not around these days in WWE.) THE BROOD HAVE RETURNED?!

Why didn't Rock just drop the elbow in the dark? He was stood right over punk and about to drop it when the lights went off.

King's staying quiet while Cole's having a stroke claiming that the Shield works for Punk and is helping him win again and it's such a damn travesty and NOT THIS WAY DAMMIT

Does anyone have a picture of a camera flashing to show it was The Shield? I had a bet with a bookie and they said bets are void if The Shield interfere yet have settled my bet as a loser and wont give me my money back... You bet against the Rock? I can't blame the guy for taking money that you're basically giving away.

The best part about it were the grunts from what was clearly Dean Ambrose.
