It's a moment that Matt will never live down and will be associated with him forever, and has been constantly referenced to hell and back, but god damn is it glorious. Pat's hysterical, almost maniacal, laughter is just the icing on the cake. If you haven't yet, I highly recommend checking out their S***storm of Scariness videos next. It's them playing obscure and mainstream horror games (mostly the former) for the entire month of October, one game per night. They range from your typical random shenanigans, to straight up nerve-racking and scary. I think it's some of their best stuff, and that's saying a lot. I've been picking and choosing ones from that playlist, too. Some great moments in a lot of the s***storm videos. The Erie video is super intense. And, I'll admit, I got got by THAT moment in Call of Cthulu. I'm positive everyone got got by that moment in Call of Cthulhu, and if they say otherwise, then they're lying. I think my favorite has to be Cry of Fear. I think it's the most scared I've ever heard Pat.

After watching a fair share of their videos, it's safe to say that Matt is a wrestling fan and that he might or might not visit the site to get himself updated on the rasslin newz. I mean, his favorite wrestler is the Shockmaster, for crying out loud!

I mean, his favorite wrestler is the Shockmaster, for crying out loud! He is less into wrestling than he used to be, if I recall, but he is definitely aware of things. Pat also used to be/still is a wrestling fan, as both of them reference Triple H anytime a sledgehammer is in a game.

I prefer them to the Game Grumps. I know, it's sort of like comparing pizza and hotdogs or something, in that they have very different styles, but while I like the Game Grumps, they are not "drop everything and watch" like Two Best Friends are for me.
Just about the only thing I don't like much the best friends have done was Streetwise, and even that had a lot of moments. It's just the game was infuriatingly bad.

Game Grumps does only 10 minute videos, and even then, it's just Jon screaming randomly (which gets annoying FAST), and Arin just.. there... and most of the time they don't get too far into the games. Matt and Pat split it up by chapters/sections, give the game good time. As far as favorite "Let's Play"ers, it's either Matt and Pat or Davidy64yt. That dude plays good games (Minecraft, Far Cry 3, Mass Effect 1), and he logically talks himself through the games... or just goes apecrap once he is given a flamethrower...

I agree on all accounts so far about TBFP's style.
The one thing that really puts them above the rest for me, is they can be very informative about whatever they're playing, especially Pat (which is really the main reason why he's my favorite). Sometimes they'll talk about random stuff, but other times they'll go into strategies, facts and trivia about the game they're playing. There's no real forced humor for 25+ minutes, everything is spontaneous and well paced.
And like Bradley, they're a "drop everything and watch", or a "finish whatever you're doing so nothing else distracts you", deal for me. Every new episode is like a small event.

While I like them, and Super Beard Bro.s, for me Game Grumps is the top. Albeit I feel weird even saying that as I feel what SBB and they do is so far removed from what the Game Grumps are. They're a Let's Play in pretty much the loosest form of the term most times. Usually presenting their episodes, especially lately, more like an episode of JonTron or Egoraptor that just happens to be starring the other guy and it's about some crap game.
I think another big factor is that often times it's Matt that's the ignorant one in their LP and that's simply due to not knowing something. Whereas Jon and Ego often are ignorant...just out of laziness, not bothering to research something or look at the in-game tips that are right there in front of them. I get to some extent why they play the games like that and tend to go in cold with games they've never played before, but still. It can be so frustrating to watch sometimes.

That said, one of my favorites things is when Matt knows things that Pat doesn't, often about comic characters, and he explains it to Pat, like when he told Pat about Punisher 2099's bizarre torture methods.

I'm glad these guys are getting the love they deserve. Agree with Woolie being very hit and miss. I mean Scrublords is when they have a go at very bad fighters (although some of them look ok) and Woolie sounding off and walking out when they just play them for the lulz is a bit much

If Woolie had someone trying to be him and being a pale imitation, could they be called Woolite?

Woolie's kind of the guy who doesn't get invited to parties or get togethers, but when he happens to show up, you don't mind him being there and his presence doesn't ruin the fun. I can say the one time I legit liked something Woolie did was at the very end of their Double Dragon Neon LP where he had a nerdgasm after {Spoiler}Marian nailed a falling Skullmageddon with a stiff upward fist, shades of Makoto's "Seichusen Godanzuki" super/ultra, while Matt shouts out the name of the move in joy. This could be because I marked out at that moment too for the same reason. Speaking of Matt & Woolie:

Woolie is getting better at the game. I also agree with his wanting to use the Shine Spark whenever possible.

See, for me, Woolie's the guy that there's a reason he doesn't get invited most of the time. Because 9 times out of 10, he'll be bringing down the get-together by boasting of his "l33t" skills/knowledge or generally being a socially awkward arrogant tool. The kind of guy that creeps on the girls at the parties and tries to chat them up by trying to impress them with what he knows about fighting games or anime. With rare occasions where he's chill being just that, and being the only time his presence isn't an eye sore.

Woolie is the most socially awkward of them, that much I won't argue, but he is well aware of that. See the threesome story if you want to see that much.
