Well, no titles will be on the line here, so that makes no sense as a comparison. As long as Undertaker actually picks up the pinfall, he still got the actual win, and so the streak would remain. But a singles match it's him. A tag team match it's him and his partner. None of the others were tag team matches. I guess I wouldn't even really care as much as far as The Undertaker as much as I would to see Undertaker, Brock, HHH and CM Punk all in a tag team match. I thought it was really disappointing when The Rock's last match was a tag team match. For people who are these huge stars, something that dilutes their role in a match is a bummer to me. Wrestlemania 19 was going to be a tag team match until they made it a handicap match due to Nathan Jones being too green for Wrestlemania. And I don't think a tag team match like this would dilute them at all. We're talking about 4 of the biggest stars in history. Rock/Cena fought Miz/Truth, that's why it wasn't as big of a deal. If it was Rock/Cena vs. Punk/Lesnar that would have been a huge, huge deal. Plus making it a tag match at Mania allows Taker to take it easy while still having a high-profile match. It also allows some more time for the undercard...if you have Rock-Cena, Taker-Punk, HHH-Lesnar that's almost three hours of the show filled already.

Stick Undertaker in a tag team with HHHunter and have them face Lesnar and Punk together. Makes that match more exciting, means 'Taker wont have so much to do, Lesnar wont either and HHHunter and Punk can carry the match bar the odd big spot moments. Undertaker then comes back next year against Cena. Then retires. And yes, I have suggested this several times before. Great idea. If Punk doesn't get to be in the main event in a triple threat, I want this to happen.

If they (and most importantly Taker) want him to have a match and (possibly) hang it up at WM30 then they need to either put him in a tag team match or have him skip 29 if he isn't 100%.
If they go the tag team route I'd like to see either:
Punk & The Shield (Aka The Alliance To Destroy Streakamania) vs Taker, Kane, Daniel Bryan, and Ryback.
or
Punk & Brock vs Taker & HHH.
Either way I REALLY want to see Punk/Taker. Punk comes out and says even though he got screwed out of the championship, he's going to make EVERYONE out there respect him when he does what no one else has ever done....pin the Undertaker at WM.
If you did the Shield & Punk vs Team Taker you could have a crazy balls to the wall match like they did at TLC with bodies flying everywhere and massive destruction and still protect taker. Plus in the leadup to WM29 Punk & The Shield could have matches/run in's with the opposing team so we don't get 6 weeks of promos like we did with Rock/Cena I.
The Raw after WM29 Punk comes out and says as much as he hates to admit it he learned the meaning of the word respect last night, and if anyone deserves it it's the Undertaker. Enter The Shield with a Punk beatdown and you then have the much needed Punk face turn and the start of a program you can run through the Summer with Punk and The Shield.

I pitched the HHH/Taker vs Punk/Lesnar match too. I love it. Makes sense storyline wise, protects everyone, still counts the streak, frees up some main event spots for the younger guys like Sheamus, Del Rio, Ziggler, Ryback, etc, you could even throw in HBK as a manager so he can superkick Heyman at some point.
Lesnar/HHH is too predictable. So is anyone 1 on 1 with Taker at WM. Yeah, this match would be predictable too, but at least there's more opportunities to create suspense with the extra people involved.

I loved the idea of Taker making his return, getting taken out by the Shield, and having to miss Wrestlemania. What awesome heat that would bring the Shield.

he should have been back by now. I think this will be the Rock's last run for awhile, so maybe he will sit this one out and then come back and defeat whoever he faces. Maybe he can actually have more than one match and do a real buildup-then he disappears.
But when he is TRULY done, he will have to come back as Mark Calloway and be inducted into the HOF

I say Taker rests this one out. Dedicate Wrestlemania 30 to his final match. Rest this one out? He hasn't wrestled in a year and if he still needs to rest its time to retire.

His career should end this year at WM with CM Punk applying a headlock and Vince McMahon running down the ramp yelling "Ring the damn bell."
Punk breaks the streak, becomes the only guy to twice beat Taker by submission and retires the old guy.

If Taker retires with the streak intact I think he should streak to shock the world.

I'd rather see Punk vs HHH and Undertaker vs Brock Lesnar

All I know is, that I want this guy there for Taker's retirement: I try to keep it lighthearted at WWE events so as not to spoil things for anyone. I simply turn my megaphone volume up to max and yell "UNDERTAKER IS A REGULAR GUY HIS REAL NAME IS MARK CALAWAY"

So an Undertaker match without the streak? And I know I'd personally be really disappointed to see Brock and Punk relegated to a meaningless tag team match. The Streak would still be on the line. It adds to the story of the match, with Taker having to trust his streak in the hands of the man that tried to end it the last two years. Take that, have Brock Lesnar take Undertaker out of the picture and Triple H has to avenge the guy whom he tried to put out of wrestling. Gives an extra layer to Triple H-Brock Lesnar, one I'd prefer they'd do.

You would like to think that he would get the royal send off, but its not impossible that he may just decide he's had enough and call it in. I think the long-standing belief has been that his final WM match would be the one he would lose in order to put over a younger star. The way things are, I could see Cena being the one to go over him in a last match-one of those "passing the torch" momentss ala Hogan and Andre, even though Cena is already established. With that said though, I hope that if/when he has his last WM match he will come out in the old school outfit with the gray pants and gloves.

I hate the idea of "Passing the torch" at some point it won't mean anything to beat him because he isn't in good shape. It would just be a bum note to wrap up a glorious career. I didn't get upset at Andre losing to Hogan however, but I don't really find the newer guys exciting, but maybe that's because I'm stuck in the past. I think he should win his last WM match, streak intact and that would be it. I don't think they thought about a "streak" until they first mentioned it however many years ago. And someone like Punk winning, for example- well I'm not impressed with him now and beating Taker won't do it either.
