Oh I really hope they don't. Those palm tree things last year were so stupid. I don't understand why they 'need' something like that. They didn't have anything like that at the stadium shows before like what WM24? The other stadium shows had roofs. Whenever they're in an open air building they need to have it in case of rain or whatever.

As someone expecting to suffer a thoroughly frozen tookus next week trying to see the 3 inch Undertaker defeat my beloved CM Punk through the giant ass obstacles I have to contend with I'd gladly appreciate them running Wrestlemania in a building with heating and a roof without any bullshit around the ring.

We're just about at the outside range of where we can start looking at early weather forecasts - right now they're forecasting partly cloudy with a high of 50 and low of 39, so probably in the mid 40s when Mania is going on. No sign of any possibility of rain or snow yet.

When they're constructing the structure around the ring, I hope they use something along the lines of the WrestleMania XXIV tarpaulin as opposed to the WrestleMania XXVIII fiasco. Compare: XXIV XXVIII With the XXIV set-up, it blocks the ring, but since it's just steel bars, people can see right through it with only a slightly obstructed view. With the giant palm trees, essentially the entirety of the ring is completely blocked from view. Hopefully they just leave the steel bars alone without any stupid building or Statue of Liberty designs that totally prevent any sort of visual access.

{Spoiler} The WM26 one as well was decent. I can understand why they go with Palm Tree's for decoration, it does look nice and adds to the character/general look of the set. But as you said it sucks for anyone who is stuck behind them. I think they can still decorate them, but make them thinner and make the Statue of Liberties see through plastic or something. Like I said, I like the look when they do make something of the bars but I can understand why people wouldn't be a fan of it, especially if obstructed in live view.

Funny you should mention the Statue of Liberty, because that's exactly what I could see WWE doing. This might be too elaborate even for them, but imagine if they could somehow include real working torches. Kane brings down his arms to set off the ring pyro, camera pulls back and WHAM! Fire shoots out of four torches held by the statues around the ring. While browsing the WrestleMania site in replying to another thread, I came across a guide to all the weekend's activities. WWE breaks it down by event and venue; might be worth a look for any first-time FANatics. www.wwe.com/shows/wrestlemania/29/wrestlemania-handbook-26101421

I really liked the look of 24 and 26's canopy's. The metal frames work just as well and I like the more bubble like look to it over the rigid and square look they had last year. Maybe it was built that way because they needed something more sturdy to hold HiAC? What I'm saying is, blame Triple H. EDIT: looking at the pre-palm tree set up....why the hell didn't they stick with that? They looked thinner even!

That's some shitty weather. Makes me nervous it's going to ruin the event.

After running it through the temperature converter... DAMN that's cold.
That's a drop from 9.4°C to 6.7°C over the course of the show for those using the Celsius side of the scale.

44 isn't really bad for those who live up here. Also Northeast weather is crazy and could change dramatically by that time.

That's pretty much what I expected from the temperature, and being from the northeast, I'm okay with that. I'm just fearing that it could get lower, like in the 30s.

Truthfully this is a really decent to good card, the problem being it could and should have been that much better considering the talented midcard and main eventers that they have, both part and full time. I'm sure we will get some good matches, but it all seems unimaginative and lazy booking rematches for Lesnars and Rocks matches. I am still going to order it, and as I have put in this thread before i think it will exceed mine and others expectations.

Backstory: So I am having a few friends over and watching mania. I have xfinity and I wanted to order the ppv in HD. However I have an SD box (RGN 110) I was trying to see if I could upgrade but I would need an HD box (RGN 110). I thought it would be a good idea to try to upgrade(having a nice 60 inch this time around), however It would cost an extra 10 dollars a month! I could order it online but I do not have the much faith in my internet connection.
Question: Is there a significant difference between HD mania and regular? Last year it was a bit foggy looking. But I enjoyed it.

You need to go HD. World of difference. Once you do it regular feed will look terrible. Especially with your big new TV.

Wrestlemania's Social Ambassador has been announced. Justin Timberlake? Denzel Washington? Oprah? Will Smith? Miss Piggy? Borak Obama? One Direction? Justin Bieber? Megatron? Green Ranger?
No! It is in fact someone as epic as all those names combined....
