I don't think Beth was as good as Melina and Mickie were (in terms of connection to fans, match psychology, etc.) but I do think that WWE should've built the women's roster around them. They never had bad matches with each other, ever. And matches like the one at Backlash '06, ONS 2008, and the various triple threat matches they had really drove that home.

Plus, Mickie and Melina were good foils for Beth, since they're small enough that Beth could pick up both of them, but not too small that they didn't look credible against her.

I'll give you the fan connection issue, but she was a great worker, in my opinion. Definitely agreed on the latter part, though.

I've always thought they could have gone something of a route with them similar to the SmackDown Six - the Diva Six, if you will: focus the division around six main Divas (the aforementioned three, along with, say, Natalya, Gail and Victoria; presuming this was around 2009) while cycling in other divas to work with them.
