Maryse wasn't a good wrestler, but my god, she could still make an excellent valet if they kept her around. She was a tad bit better then Kelly Kelly with quadruple the charisma. She was a terrible valet. It was like she watched tapes of great valets like Sunny or Sherri and went out of her way to do the opposite of what they would do in a given situation. |

 The cameraman, as well as that entire section, had a great view. But we didn't.  I can definitely spot some happy faces in the first row. Lawler, for instance. |

I know a lot of people like her because of her looks, but Maryse brought sparingly little to the table as a performer, and that's why she floundered as a wrestler and floundered as a manager. There haven't been many good, recent manager/valet types but Jillian Hall was a decent valet since she was capable of talking. Melina was a good manager because she could talk and she really got involved in matches. Layla was ok as a valet when she was with Regal but they didn't let her do enough to test her. Yes, crowds thought Maryse was hot (contrary to what this board may think, as in the case of Beth Phoenix, the crowd may not agree at all) and she did have charisma and good mannerisms, but she couldn't transfer that into being someone's manager and her time with Ted turned into her prancing around and drawing attention to herself while Ted failed miserably, instead of backing him up. |

I thought Maryse was decent as a wrestler. Good enough to have around at least. And what she lacked in wrestling ability she made up for in charisma tenfold.
