The Pacers' elite defense make them by far the best candidate to take down Miami in the East. Also, let's not overlook the fact that they've played the overwhelming majority of the season without their leading scorer each of the past five seasons. If they get an expected boost to their offense, while continuing to play the league's best defense, they're going to be a very tough out come April and May... maybe even June.

As if the league is going to let any team play that type of defense on the Heat this year in the playoffs. It is nice to see Indiana slowly rising from the ashes of the basement and becoming a legitimate contender again.

I don't think the Heat really sees anyone in the league as a threat this season. I get the idea that even if they lose, they still think the title is basically there's to take.

They might run in to a 6 game series in the ECF or something, but I really don't think Miami is going to be pushed or threatened unless they get San Antonio in the Finals.

This picture has me asking so many questions. Is Russell Westbrook's stylist blind? Does he have no friends to tell him how stupid he looks? Does he honestly look in a mirror before leaving the house, dressed like that, and think, "Yeah, this look works."? Pfft, that's tame for him.

It is the short sleeves on his shirt and the short legs on his pants that really bother me. Makes him took like a teenager trying to wear the clothes they wore in middle school.

Think of how awesome this potential first round in the West would be:
#1 San Antonio vs. #8 LA Lakers: Old rivals go to war once again
#2 OKC vs. #7 Houston: James Harden against his former teammates, set out to prove he's a franchise player
#3 LA Clippers vs. #6 Golden State Warriors: battle in California.
#4 Memphis vs. #5 Denver: two evenly matched, tough teams that could spell upset city for whoever they meet next.

Um, I'm not one to pass judgement. But I don't know of too many straight guys who wear those type of clothes that Westbrook is wearing in that picture. But such is life I guess?

I know I'm late to the Colin Cowherd bash fest, but this video will forever make me laugh.

I thought he'd be a finesse player that shot 3's and did easy layups. I never imagined he'd be was he is today. I'm not going to pretend I ever thought Durant was going to be a freakin' basketball monster. And a monster, he is. He's a damn freak of basketball. But don't pretend like everybody knew he was going to do this when he was a skinny little ragdoll.

I'll be the first to participate in an old-fashioned Cowherd bash, but if you took me back to the 2007 NBA Draft, I would have agreed with him. I thought Greg Oden was a sure thing, the next great center in league history, the kind of guy who'd average a double-double every season until he retired. Granted, I thought Kevin Durant was going to be a solid scorer, but nothing more than that, good for 15-20 points per game. Not terrible by any means, but I had no idea that he'd become the second-best player in the league.

I think I was pretty sold on Durant, but I was more sold on Oden. Shame how that has turned out.

In his defense, there was a lot of talk prior to the draft that Kevin Garnett had no interest playing in Boston. Whether or not that had anything to do with Boston's sordid history with race relations is unknown, but there were numerous reports in June and July 2007 that said Garnett wanted no part of wearing Celtic green. However, the argument of not wanting to trade Al Jefferson for Garnett is indefensible. I can't help him there.

I'm reading over the 2008 draft thread right now.
God, I literally got every thing wrong. If someone wanted to tell me I'm never allowed to have an opinion about basketball they should point to that as to why.
I blew a gasket over a team passing on, quote, "A FREAK LIKE" Joe Alexander.
Welp.

I'm sure this has been posted 15 times before, but today was the first time I saw it. Pretty funny actually.
Favorites are Mario "MOTHER F#%#IN" Chalmers as Super Mario and whoever the hell dressed up as Pedo-Bear. D-Wade maybe?
