They need to make Swagger and Zeb more hateful. They are being too subtle with it. What they are saying is not an especially rare viewpoint. The anti illegal immigration thing isn't going to get enough heat. They need to be more on the nose about it. More racist and generally bigoted. Del Rio isn't loved enough for people to side with him just because he's Del Rio. Didn't they basically say they're against all immigration though? I'm pretty sure they had a segment where they told Wade he was part of the problem or something. yes they did. Zeb and Swag as characters are complete trash and are legitimately anti-foreigners in a way many pro-Amercian superfaces are accused of being but weren't

He'll be 36 soon, hasnt been over in his first 36 years won't be iun his next 36. I, for one, require a prerequisite that all future World Heavyweight champions to have sold out a 20,000 people capacity arena at least 10 times in a row by the time they have entered kindergarten.

it was only a matter of time. but I'm not sure it has anything to do with racism so much as WWE's constant "boring face vs. interesting heel" problems.

I think you get the point. If he hasnt found a reason to make people care yet, chances are he's peaked

Theres absolutely no reason to like Del Rio in this fued. He's killed both the WHC and WWE titles when he's had them. Fans are bored with him and dont want the Mexican Zombie on their TV. His attempts at humor are unfunny, his attempts at being tough arent beleivable. His attempts and being a sympathetic character fail to garner any emotion from the fans. He's a complete and total dud, always has been. He's never been over enough to be an IC champ let alone have 3 runs at the top of the card. They TRIED to make him a big deal by making him champion, it didnt work. They TRIED getting him over by turning him face.. didnt work. He has nothing in the way of charisma, doesnt do anything to seperate himself from even the most mediocre of performer. The only interest the fans have in them is chanting along with "si" and Ricardos intro. He's terrible and one of the reasons I cant sit through a whole show. this. well said good sir.

This could just be a one time thing. The crowd all night was very weird. I say maybe we should wait to see if this is a regular thing, before demanding entire gimmicks to be changed.

So I guess I'm hallucinating when I hear the huge pops he gets every single week now, excluding tonight.

I'm just happy that it happened in Pittsburgh instead of the south, as some people falsely proclaimed it would.

Politics aside, I'm finding Swagger completely uninteresting.
He should never be 'serious' in any manner.

Of course my city would be the one to cheer the racist xenophobes.
It's actually kind of funny that they keep pushing Del Rio when it seems like all the cheers are going to Ricardo.

So I guess I'm hallucinating when I hear the huge pops he gets every single week now, excluding tonight. Supposedly they have Ricardo come out to pump up the crowd during commercial segments before Alberto's ring entrance. Just to make sure Alberto gets some kind of reaction every week.

It's weird because to me it seemed like the only guy really getting cheered was Cody. I think Alberto's a great wrestler but they've really damaged him through misuse. Swagger's not over in any sense, I think he's great two.
LEGACY, NUMBER ONE! CODY RHODES, NUMBER ONE! DEL RIO AND SWAGGER PTOOOEY!

I was almost expecting Cole to try to explain the chants as pro-Del Rio. I guess Vince and company couldn't think of a way to spin the chants as pro-Del Rio.

I don't mind ADR that much, and think he's a decent hand in the ring, but he does seem like one of the more protected guys since his debut, despite having never really caught on big like say Sheamus, who is also overprotected, but gets top shelf reactions.

It's actually kind of funny that they keep pushing Del Rio when it seems like all the cheers are going to Ricardo. Just came to say this. Honestly, I don't know if Del Rio is the one getting cheered for, as much as it is Ricardo being associated with Del Rio. Also, as I said before, people love to chant things. So, Si! Si! Si! As far as this, they need to take a JBL or hell, even a more recent Del Rio approach. Don't just talk about how immigrants and all foreigners are the problem. How are they going to portray that? Have them harass Justin Gabriel for not being American. Demand that Yoshi Tatsu recite the Pledge of Allegiance in an obnoxious manner. Threaten to deport some people, for crying out loud. This is one of the things you kind of have to be over the top about, or you'll get Glenn Beck playing ding-dong-ditch with you.

Yeah it's kinda weird to be a heel by being against something illegal...but without really taking it to extremes like heels usually do.
I mean they haven't really done anything comical with it. They're just like "Illegal immigrants are the problem. We the people". Not like JBL where he had this big grin while kicking this poor looking family out or stuff like that

I liked Alberto for the first time when he was the slow burn good guy face around Christmas, when he had presents thrown at him for hitting Santa and he had this whole BFF thing going on Ricardo.. After that they had him draw being a rich guy and his promo's sounded forced, "I love America because it made me"... Who the hell says that?
