Honestly, The Dark Knight Rises was pretty disappointing for an end to the trilogy. It has its moments (The Bat, Bane looks cool, Anne Hathaway as Catwoman), but it really felt to me like Nolan was phoning it in.

Green Lantern. I sooo wanted to like this movie, and even more so I wanted it to be a success because GL is the quintessential "comic fans love him, everyone else doesn't know who the f*** he is" character. while the movie wasn't terrible, it was certainly underwhelming. and I know why. there's a great movie in there somewhere, but it's over-ridden by WB freaking out about trying to have it be just like the current comic regardless of how little sense that makes in an origin story. why not just throw Larfleeze and Atrocitus in there while you're at it?

X-Men 3. X2 set up a great sequel, and the adds made it look great. Then... that happened.

For me it would have been Captain America. Maybe I expected almost a realistic war drama with and unrealistic hero, but I found the movie to be mostly boring. I wanted Nazis not HYDRA.

I voted X-Men 3, but only because I didn't think of Green Lantern. Growing up I always thought it'd be cool if they made one, and it probably could have been cool, but why the hell do people keep casting Ryan Reynolds' dumb ass as cool comic characters? Aside from Green Lantern he's played Deadpool and Hannibal King and his performances have been a big pile of suck every time. The guy makes Halle Berry look like Meryl Streep. He can be a mediocre comedic actor in frat boy movies like Van Wilder, and that's it. He has no range beyond that and casting directors need to stop thinking he does. There should be a constitutional amendment banning Reynolds from being cast in any more comic book movies.
Man-Thing was also a huge disappointment. It had almost nothing to do with the source material, and while Man-Thing looked cool you didn't get to see him until the movie was almost over. They turned it into a generic "evil company must be stopped from polluting the water" story. It wasn't quite as bad as Green Lantern since it's really no worse and maybe even a bit better than your typical slasher flick, but it was certainly nothing great. Even if you're a big Man-Thing fan I don't really recommend it.

The question being asked is not "which is the worst movie" it is which is the most disappointing. Two entirely different things. To be disappointed you need to have expectations, TDK raised a lot of people's expectations crazy high. Even though a decent movie it wasn't as good as hoped so it was a bigger disappointment.

Blade III
For some reason the producers decided to sideline Blade. They may as well have created an entirely different vampire movie and not bothered putting Blade in it at all.

Probably Kick Ass. Then again, I haven't seen any other superhero movies aside from Fantastic Four.

Spider-Man 3.
I was so excited after 2. I was ready for what I thought was going to be a great follow-up. Then I remember reading articles about the direction Raimi was going in and started getting concerned, then it got worse when I read about studio interference. I still held optimism and even tried defending it after it came out.
When I watched it last year for the first time in 5 years I just hated it. Such bad execution of what should've been a great film in the series. The silver lining was that it lead to "The Amazing Spider-Man" which made up for it.

Oh, and I vote X3. I still get irked that they took the Dark Phoenix saga, which is a grand epic Cyclops/Jean love story, then kill off Cyke offscreen with no build and shove Jean to the background so the overexposed Canadian and Oscar winner Halle Berry can take up 90 minutes of screen time. {Spoiler}Then they make a big deal out of killing off Professor X and depowering Magneto, only to undo both of those moments before the movie's over...provided you stick around after the credits for one of them. Agreed. After watching two movies of Wolverine and his sidekicks, I was really looking forward to Cyclops and Jean Grey taking center stage. It was their story after all. It would be like making Romeo and Juliet, and then killing Romeo in the first act. And then having Juliet run off with Mercutio. And for the record, I loved Iron Man 2.

I was actually pretty disappointed in The Avengers. People hyped this movie up to me a lot since it took me forever to actually decide to watch it. I watched it and I found it to be decent. I guess it depends on how you like your comic book movies.

This At least as of this moment, all the other franchises have had the chance to either be redeemed or had a great starting place. I doubt we'll be seeing a GL reboot any time soon. I'm sure there's talks, but it'll be many years away.

I'm sure there's talks, but it'll be many years away. It's a shame the only people that watch the animated movies are those that are already familiar with the characters. GL: First Flight was a much better introductory flick for Hal and the Corps than the live-action film.

I went with Spiderman 3, after the first two I expected another quality flick and it was barely mediocre
Superman Returns wasn't as good as I hoped, way too much soap opera and didn't like the babydaddy deal, but it had good qualities and overall I gave it a tepid thumbs up.
I figured X3 would be pretty meh with the director change.
I like Dark Knight Rises, not perfect by any means but IMO it's comparable to any superhero flick other than The Dark Knight
