I love Maria Menounos. And I hated that she got booed. Especially after wrestling and taking bumps last year with broken ribs. But Trump getting booed was deserved. He's an awful human being, responsible for some of the most mind-numbing buffoonery ever spoken aloud. It was nice to see him get dumped on.

I remember going to the hof at wm21 and afterwards thinking fans really shouldn't be allowed to attend these. the utter lack of decorum people show at these things is horrible. there's a time and a place to start chants, call out your favourite wrestlers name when you seem him, boo the bad guys, etc. and this isn't it.
I can't remember anything in particular at the 21 hof that pissed me off, I just remember thinking 'jesus you people are idiots, have a little respect'. I felt a lot of the crowd conduct was quite insulting to the inductees.

A lot of the ceremonies have taken place in smaller, intimate buildings that are conducive to people behaving themselves more. This year's was in Madison Square Garden, a 20,000 seat arena, so it's hard for a fan to feel that same closeness to the ceremony and thus is more conducive to catcalls, boos and chants.

I was there and felt horrible for her. I thought it was a very heartfelt speech and hated that the crowd acted like they did.

I think te reason to attend the Hall of Fame ceremony is to actual listen to the speeches and stories of both the presenters and the HOFers. from everything I have heard/reads.. The booing was ridiculous. THIS!The only reason I buy WM blu's/dvd's every year is to see/listen to the speeches of both the inductors and inductees and it's so god damn irritating when dickheads in the audience are just shouting shit while they're giving their speeches.Hearing they actually booed is bullshit on a whole other level. The HOF is supposed to be a classy event.Sit there, listen to the great stories, clap and shut up..or just stay home.

People didn't boo her because she was a celebrity, they booed her because her speech went on FOREVER. It felt longer than some of the actual inductees' speeches. When it seemed like her long speech was finally over she said something like "but all of that stuff you know about Bob. The things I'm about to say are things you don't know." That's when people realized this was going to go on even longer and started booing. Absolutely no excuse for people to disrespect and boo her because her speech "went too long". The fact it went long is because she is a TRUE fan and wanted to do BB justice with a good one. It speaks volumes to me she thought that about a man who has been out of the spotlight for so long. And for all those morons who booed if they had the chance to give a speech/induct someone, i bet 99% would go on a long time too. Whether she is a celebrity or not, She did not deserve it and those in there who did boo her should be ashamed of themselves. Because they truly made themselves look like *****. In fact, with her being a TRUE fan by every account and she does not hide it, that is impressive to me because although there are celebs who are fans, few show it the way she does. I feel really bad for her..especially considering the word is she is so nice and sweet by all accounts. People can express themselves at all the events the wwe has but this is the ONE event where people should not act like it was just another wrestling event and be jerks if you don't like someone. I think they should change it somehow where this crap doesn't happen. How I don't know how really because if you did exclude fans altogether, you would end up with a pretty small crowd..even if you got all the wrestlers you could (whether they work for wwe or not) and it would make it look less like an important event. Maybe have electrified chairs and anyone who starts acting like a jackass gets it good lol. And her VERY classy response to it shows she has more class in her little finger than everyone who booed put together. That said, when they gave that egomaniac and jerk donald trump hell..I can't say it wasn't deserved lol. However, even then people should just keep their mouth shut as someone else said. The HOF should always be a dignified event, regardless of who is inducting who and I just don't understand the mindset of those who don't believe it and go so far as to acting like jerks. I just wonder if those who do this crap at the HOF realize just how bad it makes wrestling fans look? Or do they even care?

If WWE is worried about how people will react, maybe they should stop selling tickets to the Hall of Fame and go to a banquet-type ceremony with employees only. But they won't do that, due to the power of the almighty dollar.

I think most of them care more about showing Facebook/Twitter/TV Cameras how 'hardcore' and or 'rebellious' they are. The HoF ceremony isn't the time nor place for that, though.

But they won't do that, due to the power of the almighty dollar. True but some point WWE is going to start kicking people out for being rowdy. They haven't enforced their rules for the show mainly because it would be a headache hunting down and booting every jerkwad. It goes to show that wrestling fans will cannibalize one of our own to make ourselves feel better.

I honestly don't think people who booed Maria did it because of showing people how rebellious they are. They did it because her speech took forever and it was getting really late and most people are there to see the inductees. And people in my party wanted to see Bruno. Because of all the long speeches I'm almost positive Bruno cut his speech short (he didn't take the stage until more than 3 hours into the show- after 11 pm).

And again no one started booing her until she had already been out there for over 10 minutes and then just started randomly naming Chuck Norris-like facts about Backlund.
For comparison's sake when Bruno spoke everyone gave him the utmost respect and there were hardly any catcalls or chants.

"Bob Backlund asked for her to induct him? Well, f*** that noise. BOOOOOOOOO, WE WANT BRUNO!" Oi. Entitlement, much?

Again you seem to be ignoring that people weren't booing her because she was a celebrity (like the way they booed Trump), and the crowd was actually not rowdy at all when compared to most wrestling crowds. She spoke at length without interruption for a longggg time and then when it finally seemed she was done with her speech, she decided to start listing random facts about Backlund. Yes it was wrong to boo, but I can see the reason that people did. I didn't boo but I was getting pissed that Bruno might get short-changed due to how long some of the speeches went. And this was a ceremony with only 6 inductees! The show would have been 6 hours long if they did the usual 8 or 9 inductees!

Of course, people are going to talk for a long period time. That's the point of it. It's like going to a funeral and yelling at the preacher to hurry up with the eulogy because you got a Crimson Tide game to watch. There's a time and a place for that behavior. At a Raw; yes. At a Hall of Fame ceremony; no.
