Also, while I am politically neutral, I got a chuckle out of this.

While shopping today, I had lunch at Burger King. Guess what they sell in their King Box?
Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie and Twilight Sparkle figures (and unlike the McDonald's figures, Fluttershy does not look like a recolored Rainbow Dash).
Though the tagline refers to them as "cute baby ponies" and the other mane cast members are nowhere to be found.

Checked again, you are right, Mina-chan, it was the blind bags with Flutterdash.
Also poor Applejack and Dashie that get no love.

Here be Rarity. Served with some wuh, buh, and possibly some muh?

I give it a 10. Every kid and adult watching knew it wasn't going to be what the girls expected, but the real twists came in their solutions to their dilemmas.
This (alongside Lesson Zero) is one of the episodes that heavily contrasts the frillier MLP standard (especially against stuff like Newborn Cuties), and is really more akin to the self-aware 90's Cartoon Network style of writing.

Just saw the Japanese Episode 5 "Prank Party".
Gilda got a nice voice in the dub, very close to the original one.
Otherwise, no big issues translation-wise. Stinkie Pie became Inchiki Pie is the only noteworthy thing (after checking it, it is a bit more softer than Stinkie was in the original). And the Flip-Flop insult was replaced with generic talk about how Gilda is disappointed in how lame Dash had become.
As far as cuts go, only two stood out:
- Two cuts during the first meeting between Pinkie and Dash & Gilda (the set-up of the Junior Speedster Chant and Pinkie's immediate reaction to it). Because of these changes you never knew that Gilda hated the Chant and was reluctant to do it.
- Pinkie's talk with Fluttershy at the party (thus we lost the "year older than you" joke in the dub)
There could have been other small cuts again but this time I didn't notice them much.

There's a Japanese series?
Yes, that's how slow and inattentive I've been lately.

Well, Japanese series not exactly. More like a Japanese dub.

I got excited for a second. I haven't really watched anything pony related in a while.

Might be cool to watch in my spend time. Even if I have no idea what they're saying.

May as well be watching the English version then, unless I was reviewing their dubs.
