Evidently, this was reported by F4W's radio show with Dave Meltzer, and the news originally came from WrestleZone.com

I wonder which channel will pick it up, not sure if Syfy wants a second show or not.

Hopefully this will mean it wont continue on as a lame WWE sanctioned attempt at Ring Of Honor and it will become closer to NXT Redemption.
One can dream right?

I have to agree with this guy. The reformatting of NXT screwed over a lot of talent. Derrick Bateman, Percy Watson, Curt Hawkins, and to some extent Alex Riley (not a primary focus of NXT5, but a guy who made sporadic appearances) took a huge drop in TV time. In the case of Johnny Curtis, it took an awesome but ultimately unnecessary repackaging for for him to recover. Say what you will about NXT Redemption, but it allowed a lot of low card talents to be showcased in a way that they wouldn't otherwise. WWE doesn't have that avenue for the lowercard anymore. Superstars is cut down to two matches. Main Event and Saturday Morning Slam are primarily focused on showcasing the mid to uppercard. I want an NXT Redemption-like show back, but without heel characters like Maxine or Hawkins/Reks who openly refer to the show as "jobber hell", because it kind of buries the show and the performers who work on it.

Can we just screw getting a show like ECW and just get ECW back? And just send everyone who was on it when it ended back there, because other than kinda-sorta Christian none of them are doing as well as they were doing at the time?

Maybe they'll get WGN Amurica to pick it up. It's the least they can do.

In some people's minds, what killed ECW is that it was called "ECW". Can you really see Zack Ryder and Yoshi Tatsu having a match and the "ECW! ECW!" chants breaking out?

I don't think they want the main US audience getting their first look at these wrestlers when most of them really are not "ready" yet, which is why they've made NXT "difficult" to watch for the casual fan.

So to 99% of WWE fans, they might as well have not been employed.

I'd imagine it'll be a local Orlando station or Ion, nothing major.

I wonder what's the likelihood of them going the syndicated route? Like what ROH is doing.
