"And now we hope that they will, having really forcefully projected support for the Seattle bid until the end ... now we think that because the Maloofs have overall been very good for Sacramento and the Kings and the NBA that they will be motivated to do something fast, so that the franchise can get cracking." - David Stern, NBA Commissioner

He can't exactly say that they suck. He hasn't even said that about Donald Sterling.

Yeah, it's bullshit. But he can't throw any NBA owners under the bus either.

Hoping the Spurs can close out against Golden State tonight since they seem to have more or less figured them out. Warriors forcing a game 7 wouldn't surprise me though.

They've talked about it on Mike & Mike, and it's correct, Durant is getting a pass for his performance against the Grizzlies. People are saying he had no help, he had to do it all, not great coaching, and one guy can't do it all. Yet, people were ripping LeBron for not winning a title with Cleveland, with a far worse supporting cast, and worse coach. I agree that Durant can't do it all, just like LeBron couldn't do it all in Cleveland. But Durant has gotten a free pass. I wonder who's going to coach the Thunder after Brooks gets fired. Hell, 2 of the top teams in the West will be looking for new coaches. Brooks and Vinny Del Negro won't be back. I honestly don't see Scott Brooks being fired yet. He lost one of the two reasons the team even were the #1 seed in the West. It also isn't exactly his fault Perkins sucks big donkey balls. He's reduced the amount of minutes Perk was on the court over their playoff run this year and somehow Perk just got worse the less time he was on the court.

Expansion is the last thing the NBA needs. As it is, they aready have too many crap teams I think theres room for 32 teams in all the major sports. Giving Seattle, and either Pitt, KC, Vegas, New Mexico etc would not be that bad.

If they are going to water down the league I just want to see the NBA have enough balls to put a team in Vegas.
It's not like gambling isn't an issue everywhere else in the world. To pretend Vegas is some boogeyman is flawed. ALTHOUGH as a GM you'd have to take a little extra time to make sure the "quality" of your players can handle a party town... although it's not like a multi-millionare in New York or any other city has issues finding trouble if they want to find it.
Hell, might even be a big Home Court advantage because visiting players could get lost on The Strip!

To me that reads like "you got to keep your team, now you better get really good, really fast or your out on your ass next time."

Although the pro sports leagues' issue with Las Vegas has more to do with betting on sports games being legal in Nevada(and fighting New Jersey over that state trying to legalize it), I agree with you. I mean, New Orleans has a casino in town aside from being known as a party town.

And keep in mind, this was with Scott Brooks reducing his minutes over the course of the playoffs. He just got worse and worse as the playoffs went on. He has to go. The first move the Thunder make this offseason HAS to be to unload Perkins. He's harmful to the team at this point. I can't believe I am saying this, but Hasheem Thabeet could probably play better than Perk now. Perkins is the worst big man on the team and yet he's the starting Center.........I just don't get it.
