He's one of my favorites. Comedy is obviously his forte, but he is honestly one of the most diversely talented actors of the modern age-at least to me he is. And with the super hero genre still going strong, I actually got to wondering, could he possibly portray a super-villain? This is, of course, just theoretical, I honestly could not envision this ever happening due to his age and his stepping back from bigger roles in recent years. But still, it is an interesting idea to imagine; just what super-villain could you possibly picture Robin Williams as?

He was the original choice for the Riddler in Batman Forever. I would have liked to see that-he could bring a dark edge to the character, rather than playing him for sheer laughs like Jim Carrey.

Mad Hatter?
Not as a main villian though, I'd have him in a Batmovie alongside Hush.

I don't know. While i think Robin Williams could do that, i think you replace Carrey with Williams the film makers would have Robin at his most over the top just like they had Carrey. The reason i think that is because they had great and serious actor Tommy Lee Jones playing Harvey Dent, yet he was every bit as over the top and aiming for laughs just like Jim Carrey's Riddler was. That just seemed to be what Schumacher was aiming for. The villians were too over the top and trying to be funny in both of his Batman films. He didnt touch on the darkside of any of his villians, like at all.

Holy crap, just thought of one: The Liquidator from Darkwing Duck. It would never happen but that would be awesome.

Mad Hatter? Not as a main villian though, I'd have him in a Batmovie alongside Hush. I'm digging this. Him going into One Hour Photo or Insomnia territory while talking about his "Alice" could work. Plus he'd easily be able to pull off the eccentric qualities of the character as well.

Robin Williams as Mad Hatter would be all kinds of awesome. Great call on that one. I also think he'd be a great Toyman if they presented him as they did in Superman: The Animated Series.

He kind of already played one in Law & Order: SVU . That character was cunning and had super villain type of diabolical plans. So I don't see it as much of a stretch for him to play one in a superhero movie.

Dr. Sivana perhaps? An over the top Mad Scientist would be fun to see from him.

If they ever did a live action Dark Knight Returns, I'd say he'd be perfect to play an ageing Joker.
