Can't I have one evening of helping my brother prepare his birthday gift for mother without major news happening?    I have not seen the trailer yet and I don't intend to. As some of you may remember, I made a promise to myself to not look at trailers, preview clips etc. this time around and that's what I'm gonna do. You said you were going to do that for Season 4. This is something seperate from Season 4, so it won't count the same, right? Besides, who knows when it's going to head over to beer flavored chocolate covered sausage land Germany? |

I feel bad for Lauren too, as there does seem to be more to this than she's willing to tell, or is legally/professionally bound not to tell.
Honestly, I feel like I'm at a bit of a crossroads in my internet travels. It seems like everything I like (mostly wrestling and pony) is being bombarded from all sides by fans with different expectations than my own and it's making to me feel weird when I'm just not seeing what all the fuss is for the most part. And it's leaving me very irritable and prone to lashing out.

Not trying to start anything, EoE, but when you go back and read Faust's interviews on how hard she tried to make MLP not a (stereo-)Typical "Girls show" and the company decides that despite a strong periphery demographic(that spends money), they want to stay in the "Girls" market and bend the show to a "Girls show".
I'm usually better about giving something like this a chance, but there's a reason why I don't watch any show about high school. That was too dark a time in my life and I hope no one had to deal with the shit that I did.
To me, ANY show that makes High School a great place to be is propaganda at best and outright lies at its worst.
MLP is an escape to an original, imaginative landscape that has some elements (pun fully intended) that you know but a lot of things you don't, so you can explore further, learn, speculate, imagine.
High School? Sure, bring on the bullies that the teachers and staff wouldn't do shit about.....
