Well, Raanta was selected the MVP of regular season and the playoffs. That should give some perspective on him. And he was selected as the starting goalie for Finlands team at the World Championships, which is in here a pretty big thing.
Excellent playing at the World Championships, frustrated Radulov-Kovalchuk pairing with some saves. There was rumours that he had offers from five different NHL teams, which didn't shock anyone here.
Great movement, pretty agile, mentally strong player and has fantastic work ethic. His small stature might slow down his raise to stardom, but give him some time and he should be a starting goalie in NHL.

Now that we know he won't be disciplined for this, what a hit by Bolland. Though there's murmurings of the Kings looking to even it up tonight.

If not for the heroics of Lucic and Bergeron on May 13, Claude Julien could be interviewing for the Dallas Stars job right now. You can more or less make the case that Bergeron saved Julien's job Yeah you've mentioned Julien's near firing several times.

Remember all that talk about how Matt Cooke was a changed man and he wasn't playing dirty or aiming to injure players? Well, LOL to that. And also f*** Matt Cooke, but you already knew that. The best part was the article a few days ago about that very fact

Not real happy with Crosby's actions involving Rask at the end of the period. No issue with him confronting Chara though. His jaw is healed enough and he's already lost a couple bottom teeth tonight. Absolute BS that whatever Bruin boarded Neal didn't get shown the door. So much for calling an even game. Malkin is an effin' beast tonight. Hasn't dropped the gloves in a few years, but I believe he went after the guy who boarded Neal. Good job Geno. Love it when that big Russian beast breaks loose. Once they get one behind Rask, the floodgates will open. Bergeron getting a hooking penalty when a similar incident was given as a penalty shot in the Chicago/Detroit series.

Remember all that talk about how Matt Cooke was a changed man and he wasn't playing dirty or aiming to injure players? Well, LOL to that. And also f*** Matt Cooke, but you already knew that. OMG !!! You're so right. He's the ONLY player in the league to make a hit like that... ever! Hell, it certainly didn't happen in the same game. I know none of the Bruins took any penalties for boarding. So yeah... f*** Matt Cooke. In all seriousness, it was a bad move for Cooke to make. He needed to pull up. However, the assclown that he hit saw him coming and turned. He was not hurt and popped right back up off the ice. But whatever.. You're going to continue to persecute him regardless of the fact that he has been incident free for two years and has had two of his most productive seasons to date and is a very valuable defensive player for whatever team ends up signing him. It's absolute bullshit that Marchand didn't get a major for his boarding call, which was equally as violent as Cooke's. So f*** him too. Oh wait, he's not Matt Cooke, so it's cool for him to do that. My bad.

Well, the NHL's decided against any additional discipline against Matt Cooke. So he isn't being Raffi Torres'd.

I think I just want consistency from the officiating. Between the two boarding calls being called way differently and as another poster said, two hooking calls being given different punishments.. Please, either stay out of the game or call it fair on both sides in all games.
