Oh, and Brad Marchand is the prototypical 'If he's on your team, you love him. If not, you'd hate him.' BRV would hate Marchand if he wasn't playing for Boston- he's a pest, but he's OUR pest. I dont mean to hijack this, but oh god yes, you're spot on about Marchand.

So if people want playoff sport tonight, only one option - Pens/Sens Game 2. Would have liked for the Hawks to have played tonight, but the Bulls had the UC booked... which they now can't honour.

Speaking of Boston players I learned my cousin was classmates with Johnny Boychuck and his dad plays local hockey with my uncle yesterday. Then again this doesn't surprise considering my Uncles same local club hockey team played against the 1982-1983 in a one period exhibition hockey game.

Last night's Kings game basically summed up why I love this team and why I love the sport. Just beyond awesome. However, I am really more relieved than anything else because I'd rather be up 2-0 than being tied 1-1 and heading up to the Tank where the Sharks seemingly never lose.

Same thing with Raffi Torres or Matt Cooke. There's a reason why the best teams are usually the team with the most dirtiest or nastiest or meanest or grittiest or diving players and the worst are usually the cleanest and softest teams. With the exceptions of the Blackhawks or Rangers. When I heard the rumour that Vancouver might have a fire sale this off season to clear cap space and may look to change the landscape and how highly MacTavish thinks of Kesler, I got excited. I hate Kesler but I can't deny on how he's everything the Oilers need to become a good team and I would love him if he became a Oiler. Anyways the NHL awards finally got three deserving nominations for the Jack Adams with Quenville, Bordereau, and MacLean. It's also funny how all three coaches represent of what kind of coaches usually win the Jack Adam trophy. Quenville for coaching the best team of the regular season, Bourdreau for coaching the most improved team, and MacLean the coach who coached the most overachieving team against all odds. Personally I would give it to Quenville because the Blackhawks might of been possibly the most dominant regular season team in history but we would never know because of the short season. Plus the Blackhawks were practically the same squad of last year. But I would be just as happy if MacLean won and still be happy if Bruce won.

I am appalled that Jack Capuano wasn't nominated.

I hate Crosby but it's hard to deny he's the best player on the ice today. He made the Sens look like a juniors team last night.

Sharks lose at the Tank all the time. Not this season. I believe they're 19-4-1 at the HP Pavilion this year. The two times we played you guys up there, the best we could do was take it to the shootout where you guys won.

I mean, you'd be an absolute fool to truly believe that Sidney Crosby isn't the best in the world. That doesn't mean though that I can't hate his guts and hopes he dies in a fire (not literally of course. He seems like an ok guy off the ice.)

All the best players were always hated. Gretzky and Lemieux were whiners. Messier and Richard were dirty.

The Red Wings are basically being willed by Jimmy Howard and their 30-something duo of forwards.
It's amazing how three guys alone are carrying the load for a Detroit team that used to never have depth issues

Love that the league is fining the Sharks GM for telling the truth in calling them out for that bogus suspension of Raffi Torres. That hit wasn't even close to being worth a suspension.
GOAL.......San Jose leads 1-0

And by the way NHL, the refs call of Delay of Game in Game 2 was also BS since it obviously just hit the man's shoulders. No one can put the puck outside the ice with just their shoulder.
