Never mind getting the pick wrong because I don't care about that. I just really thought this would be a hell of a fun series. Story lines, good match ups, the stakes are as big as it gets. Grizzlies never figured out a way to combat San Antonio aside from 2 out of 16 quarters. They were never in this. They got dismantled.

Tracy McGrady has made the NBA Finals. So the world is close to ending.
The Grizzlies need a shooter desperately. If you need points you need someone that isn't Tony Allen out there.

And now I can rest easy. Great job by the Spurs.

Tracy McGrady has made the NBA Finals. So the world is close to ending. If we got T-Mac circa 2007 playing for the 2013 Spurs, they would win the NBA Championship. Instead, he's a bench warmer who barely gets minutes on the floor.

Save for 1997, the Spurs have not had a bad season since before David Robinson arrived. Spurs fans have it easy- 50 wins guaranteed, never having to worry about the team screwing up.

For the sake of an NBA Finals I really want to see, go Heat.
I don't care what the purists say and defense and all this stuff- I can't get behind a potential Spurs-Pacers Finals.
This isn't about ratings or buzz or sexy teams. This is about seeing basketball of the highest-caliber.
Heat-Spurs has 6-7 games written all over it. Pacers-Spurs has 4-5 quick and short series written all over it.

Congrats to the Spurs fans for yet another sweep.
Now I want the Heat finish off the Pacers.

I only wish that we'd be celebrating Finals appearance #8 or 9 instead of merely #5.

@espnstatsinfo Tim Duncan, Tony Parker & Manu Ginobili are 1st trio on a team other than Celtics or Lakers to reach NBA Finals 4 times together.

Boom, one bad year, first pick, they get Duncan, and it's back to being first and second since.

The Spurs have been so successful that their "bad" seasons are any season they don't at least make the WCF.....

@jphanned Tim Duncan has won more playoff games in his career (129) than 20 of 29 NBA franchises.

I don't know how I would handle it if the Spurs won less than 50 games in a season

Tim Duncan has now officially been in the NBA Finals in 3 different decades.
