I'm listening to the Pacer's radio broadcast. The play-by-play guy was ripping Heat fans for leaving early.

I'm pissed off at this Heat team. They could've been down 2-0 if it wasn't for LeBron's layup in Game 1. They have to play with desperation now, or else we'll get to see the Pacers in the NBA Finals.

Well it could go one of two ways here. Either the Heat split in Indy and we come back 2-2 (which I predicted and still think happens).
Or there's always the chance this is Orlando/Cleveland 2009. Orlando really controlled both games in Cleveland and it took that LeBron game winner to even get a split. Then the Magic ran through the rest of the series without a problem. That Orlando team just had too many mismatches for those Cavs to handle.
We'll see.

Now Indy has their win... Just like last year, it's even at 1-1. Now Miami has no choice but to win on the Road, or else they are done. Even though they did it last year, this is a tougher Pacers team we're seeing here. Better Pacer team too. Paul George.m becoming a star, no Danny Granger trying to instigate, a productive Lance Stephenson, and the bugs staying out of foul trouble. Also, I think Dj Augustine and Sam Young fit the Pacers, system much better than Leandro Barbosa and Darren Collision did. Maybe I'm misremembering but I recall Collision and Barbosa (especially Barbosa) being huge liabilities against Miami and absolutely refusing to pound the ball down low to Hibbert and West at times.

To those who love to hate the Miami Heat- don't come crying to me if the Pacers make the NBA Finals an unwatchable mud wrestling match.
I mean, let's face it- imagine if it's Pacers/Spurs. Think of the buildup:
DUNCAN VS. HIBBERT! BANK SHOT VS. HOOK SHOT! PAUL GEORGE VS. HIS OLD TEAM!
If it's Pacers/Grizzlies- first to 85 wins!

I think the Pacers are one of very few teams that the Heat don't match up well with ( 2 others being in the WCF). I think a huge difference is the Pacers are a much more disciplined team in this series than they were last year. Not to take anything away from the Heat as they are the defending champs and have the best player in the world. But they aren't facing a team that is gonna rely strictly on jump shots nor one that is afraid of playing physically.

Orlando made basically 100,000 3's in that series- and if not for a big game 1 3 by Rashard Lewis (basically the only shot he made to justify his contract), LeBron's epic game winner could have put them down 2-0.
Unlike the last series- Indiana is borderline at times unstoppable at the Fieldhouse- Chicago was not that great a home team this year (got blown out by Houston, Charlotte ended an 18-game losing streak there)

That Orlando team had a simple philosophy... Stay home on the shooters Cleveland had and pull the Cavs' big men out of the paint. Also I personally don't care how ugly Memphis Indy or San Antonio play. To me they are all teams that were built/rebuilt the right way and in the case of the Pacers and the Grizz they showed its possible to rebuild without having to rely entirely on early lotto picks (outside of Mike Conley and Tim Duncan if we include the Spurs none of those teams have early lotto picks) And in a way that is a shot at some of these teams that suck for so long

Hell of a game. I would love a Pacers/Spurs finals even though no one else in the country would.

No offense, but I'd like to see a team that hasn't had multiple title wins within my lifetime to enjoy some success, you know? That, and Paul George was a pretty big contributor to my championship winning fantasy team this year. Only Spur on my team was DeJuan Blair(yeah, I don't know why I had him, either).

It might take two wins in Miami to get to the finals. Either way, I am happy they came into this game better than the last and much better at finishing it. I honestly didn't expect that and thought Miami was going to blow them out tonight. I am very good with coming back to Indy 1-1.

I'm cheering for the Heat here. I wanna see a Miami/San Antonio final so bad. It would be just perfect.

If the NBA doesn't want a nightmare situation on their hands where they're panicking about a Pacers/Spurs or Pacers/Grizzlies finals, they should do a better job marketing all of their teams and not just the 6 or 7 they focus on so heavily.

The sad thing is that you could replace "NBA" with "NHL" and replace Pacers-Spurs/Grizzlies with say... San Jose/Ottawa and it'd still be a completely 100% true statement. Granted Pittsburgh clinched their series against Ottawa tonight, but yeah. Another thing to remember is that with last year's series, the Pacers were actually up 2-1 over the Heat. Then the Heat won the next three. I'm not counting the Heat out until the Pacers win 4.

I'd rather that than watch the SuperHeat moonwalk their way to a title, which is what about 99% of the NBA fans out there saw coming since the season started. How DARE anyone else from the east get to the finals!
