For the sake of an NBA Finals I really want to see, go Heat. I don't care what the purists say and defense and all this stuff- I can't get behind a potential Spurs-Pacers Finals. This isn't about ratings or buzz or sexy teams. This is about seeing basketball of the highest-caliber. Heat-Spurs has 6-7 games written all over it. Pacers-Spurs has 4-5 quick and short series written all over it. I don't know any purists that would argue with you. The Pacers are a better defensive team than the Heat, but it isn't by much. The Heat are great defensively, it just gets overshadowed by how unstoppable their offense can be. I'm just excited to see the best player of his generation (Duncan) versus the best player of this generation (LeBron). And maybe we'll get a flop-off between Wade and Ginobili.

I won't argue that Duncan is the best player of his generation, but what about Kobe?

As bad of a game that they played Sunday, I still think they have the chance to win this series. Plus... as a Pacers fan, it's been a long time since we've had any opportunity to enjoy anything. Why must the homegrown talent team be punished by the league because they don't have sexy marquee stars?

If LeBron hadn't f***ed around at the end of game 2, we'd see a sweep tonight.

Atlanta Hawks have hired Spurs assistant coach Mike Budenholzer to be their new head coach. Great hire for the Hawks. A lot of Spurs fans had Coach Bud to be Pop's successor.
The Hawks are really becoming a mini-Spurs, since their GM came up through the Spurs system as well.

If LeBron hadn't f***ed around at the end of game 2, we'd see a sweep tonight. at the same time, Paul George doesn't overplay LeBron at the end of game 1, Pacers are up 2-1 also good move by the Hawks. The Atlanta fans love what Ferry has done since coming in last year getting rid of some of their bad (or soon to be bad) contracts and actually has a plan in place. I thought Ferry was a decent GM in Cleveland (especially when you find out how the Cavs handicapped Ferry because they were more worried about pleasing LeBron when Ferry was saying they had to prepare for the worst case scenario)

A small handful of NBA teams told ESPN that their doctors believe Kentucky C Nerlens Noel (ACL) will have to miss the entire 2013-14 season.
Alvin Gentry, Nate McMillan and Byron Scott have emerged as candidates for the Clippers coaching vacancy.

If Shane Battier could flop anymore, he'd be a fish out of water.

The Heat can not afford to have Bosh go down to injury at this point

The Pacers are doing what I thought the Nuggets would do- the non-sexy glamour team with no big-name superstar that makes big playoff run.

That time keeper may want to hide for a year.
