All sorts of Helwani scoops on UFC Tonight.
-Chael Sonnen/Shogun Rua is the main events for the first UFC on Fox Sports 1 show.
-Benson Henderson/TJ Grant for the Lightweight Title is the main event for UFC 164.
-Lyoto Machida/Phi Davis has been added to UFC 163.
-Sara McMahon/Sarah Kaufman will happen at the second UFC on Fox Sports 1 show on 8/28.
-Daniel Cormier and Roy Nelson want to kick each other's asses.

It looks like Chad Mendes vs. Clay Guida is going to be moved from the UFC on FOX 7 card to UFC 164.

From Wrestlemania to fighting cans like that I wonder if he regrets leaving the WWE.

Brian Bowles has failed his UFC 160 post fight drug test due to an elevated testosterone to epitestosterone ratio over 20-1.

So Chael's T/E ratio has been beaten. He just can't catch a break.

I had no idea the guy was released from the UFC but Diego Nunes has signed with Bellator.

Ok so can someone explain to me how UFC shows moving off of Fox and FX and instead being on Fox Sports 1 and 2 is supposed to be a good thing? I mean they're going from two relatively popular channels to two already obscure channels that are being re-branded, which will mean even less viewers at first.
They keep hyping it up and Dana says they were gonna have their best tv card ever, but for what? It'd be like WWE putting on a pay-per-view for the debut of Superstars, and even WGN had a larger number of houses than these two stations.

The CSAC has put a temporary ban on TRT until it can update the procedure which only those with legit medical issues can obtain an exception to receive it. At this point Vitor's going to spend the rest of his career in Brazil!

It'd be like WWE putting on a pay-per-view for the debut of Superstars, and even WGN had a larger number of houses than these two stations. They'll still be on Fox for 4 shows a year, but everything else will eventually be on Fox Sports 1. That will be a downgrade in viewership from FX for at least a while, but they're hoping to build it into a major sports network, and they're using UFC to try to get there. The same plan didn't really work on Fuel, but Fox Sports One will also have a ton of big-time college sports. Sports is one type of TV programming who advertisers are still willing to pay top dollar for, because fewer people DVR live sports v. scripted TV shows. So Fox desperately wants this to work, and they'll pay UFC accordingly.

I would say that is a good start with TRT and maybe this will lead to the UFC and Dana White to stop being being so laughably inconstant when it comes to their fighters using it.

Big title fights being planned:
Jon Jones vs. Alexander Gustafsson is set for UFC 165 in Toronto. Cain/JDS III looks to be going down in October in Houston. GSP vs. Johny Hendricks in November in Vegas.

I think whatever superights we may get depends on the result of Silva/Weidman.

It looks like Chad Mendes vs. Clay Guida is going to be moved from the UFC on FOX 7 card to UFC 164. Hopefully Chad kicks his ass something fierce. Chad Mendes is a really cool dude, I used to be on a first name basis with him because he would come shop every day at the grocery store I used to work at. Come to think of it all the dudes I've met from Team Alphamale are really cool and down to earth especially Urijah.

UFC needs to add another big fight to Jones/Gustafson since let's be real, I doubt most people outside of hardcore MMA/UFC fans have a clue who Gustafson is and if Jones isn't an amazing draw in general, pairing him with someone most people have never heard of isn't going to do much good for the buyrate.
